What a great game between the COL and MIN!

slicrick 04-17-2014 08:50 PM

Minny just Lost to the Av's in OT 5-4 Av's, had a 4-2 lead.. Parise picked me up some fantasy points but won't mean much if he is out first round

There's a reason Gillis isn't around anymore...:fuckyea:

PiuYi 04-17-2014 11:07 PM

we could've kept both of them for practically nothing too..... iirc they were both on minimum contracts, at least raffi was

F3 04-18-2014 12:01 AM

Actually Phx signed Raffi to a 2 year $3.5 million contract and Gillis wasn't willing to pay that much for him. Lappy signed elsewhere for a mil.

Simulated 04-18-2014 06:38 AM

He let Raffi walk at 3.5 mil over 2 years but signs Sturm for 1.9 mil for 1 year that summer and end up trading him for Booth for 4+ mil with 5 years left on that deal. smh

I'll say it again, nucks were too oussy to resign torres cause they didn't like the image he brought

Dang, was one goal from the avs game (Predicted 5-1), from a big payoff.
The playoffs have been pretty solid stuff, exciting close match-ups.

& Torres..definitely a stud. That guy plays with much more intensity in the playoffs. We all saw that big hit against the hawks. Comes back from suspension to give a monster of a hit to seabrook.

trancehead 04-18-2014 09:03 AM

Prior to Booth being traded Vancouver, Booth was a 20+ goal scorer in 3 out of the 4 seasons in florida (One season he was out due to concussion I believe and only played 6 games). The first season in Vancouver, he scored 16 goals with 29 pts. That was pretty good value for 4.25 mil a year. And he had 4 years left on his contract, not 5.

Hindsight is 20/20

He was already on the down swing when the Nucks picked him up.
David Booth hockey statistics and profile at hockeydb.com

I think he's probably more focused on hunting than he is with hockey. This is probably his mindset while on the ice...
