Lol at the clowns on FB desperately trying to find a new location for the meet.

They are just listing any big parking lot they can think of, when they don't realize that anything above 10 cars in all of the lots they have come up with would have security hounding them to GTFO or cops called on them.

We had a good location, and a small minority of idiots ruined it.

Wow this sucks! Why do these cocky idiots have to ruin it for us people who can contain ourselves? I heard that the new location might be colossus theatre in Langley.

i'd say just be thankful it lasted as long as it did. i'm honestly surprised it went on that long with that amount of attendees. i mean, you're taking up nearly 2 huge parking lots in a busy strip mall. that alone would be enough to piss people off and have it shut down. nevermind the morons littering, revving, burning out, and just general obnoxiousness/lack of consideration.
i'd say the tolerance level was as high as it could absolutely be without giving a solitary fuck

^it helped that the meets were usually after the bulk of the stores in that complex had closed. the only things still open usually were restaurants.

We gave those restaurants a crap ton of business too.

Has anyone actually confirmed that this meet isn't gonna be able to happen anymore? All I've seen are people saying there was cops there last week...that doesn't necessarily mean they're gonna try to crack down to the point of the meet not happening anymore.

It's at the point where you are going at your own risk.

Ridiculous tickets were being handed out last Thursday, but im sure if the weather holds there will be a turn out this Thursday.

People will still go, there is no way to shut down these meets, unless cops kept showing up and doing the same shit for a bunch of weeks in a row.

I think this coming week will determine the future of this meet. If the cops come and start kicking people out, or hand out tickets again, its safe to say that this location is done for; however, there is the possibility that they just wanted to send a message last week, and flex their muscles. If that's the case maybe if everyone behaves maybe they will leave us alone again.

Cause so far the only example is of not having your N, which is a pretty valid ticket.

Most people actually purchase something from the stores during the meet, which sort of validates them being there as long as they don't cause trouble. As long as the margins are sound and customers aren't being driven away, it'll probably be able to continue, but if the landlords have to continue hiring cleaning crews every Friday, it'll probably be shut down for good.

The real problem is not being able to actually kick people out, since we don't own the land, asses take advantage of that, otherwise I'm sure we'd all be manually pushing their shit out of the lot.

Honestly if what meme said I will be true, I'm quite happy. If the cops just did this to "flex their muscle" it sends a direct message, especially the idiots who rev the crap out of their straight piped fart cans. It might even filter out the people who hoon around and leave us guys who know how to conduct ourselves at these meets, if the cops do this more often.

And McDonald's and Tims was packed every time I went.

This one cop was camping there watching us for 45 min, then drove right by us and left

There is no way they can shut down the meet that takes place there. They cant get on peoples cases about being in the parking lot unless they have a max time that you can park there or something.
They are just going to make everyone so miserable that they will not want to be there anymore.

Lol. Funny you mention that, I did this for a bit near metrotown today. Drove around the same block twice since the cop was following me for a pretty long time.

Needless to say when I went to make the exact same right hander for a third time he flashed his lights and pulled me over. The first question he asks "Where are you headed son".

My answer: "around the block sir".... :awwyeah:
