"Sorry I'm late guys. I was trolling a cop"

AVF 09-17-2014 09:41 PM

I didn't go to the meet since april,

was thinking to go tomorrow if the weather is ok...

Maybe you look shady :suspicious:

Nah no where near shady helped out two guys in an nsx to get out not sure if they got safely or not. The cop that was tailing me pulled over an s2000 for just leaving, the driver did nothjng wrong.

KevinMinato 09-18-2014 06:58 PM

Anyone else want to go to the meet but too scared to get a random ticket or VI. It's too bad. Thinking of parking across the street and walking over to safely watch the drama unfold

Spoiler!

Some fuckers still don't get the deal. Thursday meets are officially done for. It's been taken over by hooligans who have no respect for the road, will never return to what is was.

From the RS Facebook page.

Same blue Z32 as the one with the slicing object on the dash.

I was at the meet tonight and talked to a pretty chill cop. Its been confirmed that the property owners/management do not want the meet on their grounds b/c of 3 reasons:

* The noise
* The amount of trash left behind
* The people taking photo's from the 2nd level as they are tripping off alarm motion sensors

Since they can't kick everyone out, they will be ticketing but the cop tonight was told not to hand out tickets tonight and give warnings by his supervisor. However, he will be ticketing in the future for

* Improperly displayed N signs
* No front plate or plastic covering on plates.

He also told me to pass on the tip that the fine for a plate on the dash is $230. The fine for no front plate is $109 so you're better off stashing your plate under your seat than displaying it on the dash.

I know this should probably go in the police forum but are you saying that these are illegal.

I think he is reffering to the clear and tinted plastic covers. I got pinched for those.

Excellent, I haz stock car for the meat :troll:

smaggs 09-19-2014 06:46 AM

I went there shortly after 11 to grab a drink and there was about 4 police cars just keeping an eye on the few little groups standing around and then a couple of them left and set up a road block towards the Queensborough. Good for them...purge the idiots from a nice hang out spot :)

BoostedBB6 09-19-2014 07:00 AM

On a more technical note, yes, any plate frame is illegal. If it obstructs any part of the plate from vision it is illegal however it is such a common practice from dealers and such to have them on the cars that it is let go by 99.9% of cops out there.

"3.03 A number plate must be kept entirely unobstructed and free from dirt or foreign material, so that the numbers and letters on it may be plainly seen and read at all times and so that the numbers and letters may be accurately photographed using a speed monitoring device prescribed under section 83.1 of the Act."

meme405 09-19-2014 08:42 AM

Yeah plate frames in a lot of cases can result in tickets. My OEM infiniti plate frame blocks literally 90% of the registration sticker on my rear plate. If a cop decided he really wanted to nail me for something they could pinch me for that.

fourthavenuecafe 09-19-2014 09:33 AM

Is there a list of banned locations? Let's brainstorm new venues :concentrate:

IGA lot about 5 minutes east along stewardson way? don't think any meets have been there. big enough for location, and definitely not heaty and still close to central of where people are in gvrd

WagonBoi 09-19-2014 11:30 AM

Byrne was perfect, tim hortons, mcdonalds, ahaha

I think the best honestly would be an industrial lot where nothing is around so no one can complain.
