anyone ever use 24/7 parcel pick up in Blaine?
Looking for an alternative to the letter carrier in Point Roberts.
Blaine seems more appealing b/c the nexus line moves faster.

Went down to the States on Wednesday, crossed the border at 3pm, one car line-up at Peace Arch, took less than 2mins. Came back at 12am and took 1 minute. No cars but lots of questions by the agent

Yep I use it as my primary parcel pickup source. The staff is friendly and is great that they are open 24/7 for smaller parcels. Price i think is only slightly higher than most of the other places.

All the time - would recommend.

They are however, a little more strict on holding times, and a tad more expensive.

Still, the convenience of being able to go whenever I want is worth it. Big items are a bit of a hassle though.

fishCak3s 11-22-2013 09:05 PM

^But they do have a lot of lockers in different sizes to accommodate parcels of different sizes. They also inform you the status of your parcel once they received it with emails and txts.

I ordered my lip kit and shipped it there and asked them to put it inside the storage room. It wasn't available but they told me my holding time won't start until they put my kit in there.

Used it for the first time last Saturday. Priced the same as Blaine Enterprises, which I used predominantly before.

The whole set-up is really neat- just punch in your code twice and you have your stuff! They also have box recycling on site if you don't want to take the boxes with you. I'll be using it from now on as it's just more convenient.

Prices at 24/7 parcel are cheaper than rates you get in PR.. not sure about other places in blaine though.. But you get the convenience of going anytime

Gh0stRider 11-22-2013 11:06 PM

went across on thursday (2pm), it was like a 10 min wait southbound and 15 min wait northbound for Nexus. They decided to open a 2nd nexus line

wingies 11-23-2013 07:50 AM

what is the RFID chip lane? Is that for those enhanced drivers license only? Everytime I go through the nexus, I see that the RFID usually has less ppl or they generally move faster

SSM_DC5 11-23-2013 08:52 AM

I THINK rfid, can be nexus, edl, and new passports with the rfid capability

RIFD line just let's EDL users scan their cards in so the border guard can process them a bit faster. Really useful if the line is long since they just verify the cards, ask you the usual (and I noticed), briefer questions, and send you on your way.

Thanks guys. I look forward to using them.

Point Roberts is the same distance for me but the border sucks. I was on my bike in the Nexus lane once in the summer and the regular line moved 3-4 cars for every 1 in my lane.

Plus The Letter Carrier charges $3.75 per small package now.

The fact that the the gas is cheaper in Blaine than Point Roberts and you can pick up your package anytime is really nice.

You can use that lane if you have Nexus, I actually asked the officer and he confirmed yes.

24/7 is wayy better than anything in PR. 24$ to pick up tires in PR and 7$ in Blaine lol

Just checked their website -- how is 24/7 $7 for tires? They are doing $5/tire too.

24/7 PARCEL - Ship it here

I use 24/7 in Sumas because my GF lives out in Abby. It's a great service, every convenient because you can go at any time.

MG1 11-23-2013 03:38 PM

Yup, 24/7 in Sumas is where I go. So convenient. Which reminds me, I have to load up. I'm down to 4 bucks.

ImFlying 11-23-2013 10:20 PM

Do you guys fill up regular or premium when you go down? I find that the difference in filling up an 18 gallon tank with premium and regular is usually less than $4.

You must have had a nice officer then, I got taxed on my snowboard.

JesseBlue 11-24-2013 08:52 PM

Nexus was longer last sat than regular line up...lol...took 10 mins to pass after they decided t open up the second lane...still better than the regular...now i'm down going to the us on a weekend (which i rarely do because of long border lineups)..

We got our sons some chocolate milk in small boxes for a dollar (3 pack)...

Same. Good to know it's taking a while for people other than me. Makes me still believe I'll get an interview! :fullofwin:

Anyone heading down for black friday? I'm thinking about heading down Thursday night, hitting the outlets around midnight.
