Yes, everyone is subjected to the same luck factor. That is not the point I'm trying to make. What I mean is, I would like to see luck play a smaller percentage in determining the outcome of the game. Right now it feels like Luck>Skill>=Deck Build, would like to see Skill=Deck>Luck.

Couple of nights ago I played a mage with Rag/Antonidas, had the worst luck ever drawing cards and he was able to control/clear till turn 8 and I got destroyed. Immediately re-q, and got the same person (first time lol). This time I got all my synergy cards almost in perfect order with each draw/mana and I killed him by turn 9 with almost perfect hp (28). Same players, same deck, only thing that changed was luck of draw.

If, I win this person, it should be because I know of his playstyle and deck (thus I adjust my strat accordingly) and not because I got lucky with draws and totally smashed him up before he even gets a chance to put up a decent fight.

"luck of the draw" in normal play doesn't bother me quite as much as building an arena deck.

Arena is only made for faceroll decks. You can't possibly build a more refined deck using it. If you try but don't get the cards you need, you're fucked.

I tried building a mage deck, and wasted so many cards. I had a few minions who get buffs based on "secrets" being played. Problem is, I only had one "secret" to use, so they were all wasted. Also, no flamestrike cards showed up AT ALL. How the hell can you run a control class without the most important control spell. And not enough taunt minions either - I think I got maybe 1. And at the end you get to choose from 3 purples, and they were all completely useless for a mage.

I was so fucking pissed, I didn't want to say more than "FUCK ARENA MODE".

Still it's probably worth it since even if you lose 3, you still end up getting a pack and 30 gold back. So really it's only 20 gold more than buying a deck.

You want to talk about deck > talent.. I had this guy down to 7 health (1 more turn and he was done) then he popped 2 purples and an orange

Had a nice nuke lined up but I just went through over half my deck and didn't get a single CC card

And I have a LOT of them. Out of my remaining 12 cards, any ONE of the 6 or 8 would have won me the game

For some reason I decided to do arena again... Almost all my cards were 0-3 mana, with the high level ones being +spell damage (I was using warrior)

So I ended up with the shittiest deck you can imagine.. and here I am playing against someone with at least 1 orange and 1 purple

So far I have opened about 10-12 packs (bought 7 when I decided I liked the game).

I have gotten 2 purples and some blues.. the rest have been whites

My friend got 2 oranges from the 7 he bought

Just had an epic comeback from 1 health against a paladin with 23 health of all things

He wasn't geared up to the gills but he knew what he was doing. Pretty fun

Fucken priests.. as soon as you take out their lightwell and fire elemental, they bail on you

Actually since playing my new rogue build, I have had 3 people concede early on me...

On the other hand, I find that I am killing people by turn 7 or so now

OK so with that rogue deck, I worked my way up to rank 16.. I won 12 out of my last 15 games with it.

Then in my next 7 games, I won 1...

I swear this game fucks with your draws in order to make you want to buy cards or something.. because during my losing streak my opening draw has always been my high mana cards and non-minions

I've been playing on and off since December. Its a pretty fun game. I mostly do arena now though.

Just made an idiotic lock deck with 80% 5+ cost for the daily "Summon xxx mobs above 5 cost."

Played 4 games fully prepared to loose and just wanted to get the credit for summoning the 5+ cards and won 5/5 matches.........

Was tempted for a moment to try assemble a deck that has a decent chance for R1/Legend and did some research. Discovered the popular decks take 10-13k dust to build.... ok, I'll stick to doing a few casual matches a day when I am taking a dump lol.
