I understand that it is difficult to stop TRT, and Vitor couldn't just quit now safely in time for his fight.

What I don't get is, if he was fighting this fight without TRT anyway, what has anything changed?

The NSAC regulates events of non-armed struggle in the state of Nevada, where Las Vegas is located, and is the most influential state athletic commission in the U.S.. The decision taken by the council committee on the afternoon of Thursday to be followed by other similar entities across the country. The UFC has officially announced that it will follow the new protocol in international tournaments in which it operates as its own regulatory body.
If in the U.S. to ban the TRT is effective immediately, in Brazil, however, the commission will open an exception for American Dan Henderson , who is the main event of UFC: Shogun vs. Henderson 2 , on 23rd March at Christmas . "Hendo" is one of the athletes making use of hormone replacement program and, as he had applied for an exemption with the CABMMA that comes the testing for this purpose, you can still receive the exemption. A decision on your license must be made up to two weeks before the tournament.
Vitor Belfort , assumed another user TRT, announced early on Friday that left UFC 173 in Las Vegas, where he would face Chris Weidman, and gave up asking permission to fight in the city, for unfeasibility of time to adapt without treatment. Tannure said the time to "cleanse" the body of synthetic testosterone varies from one person to another.
"That depends from agency to agency and from athlete to athlete. This may take three to six months in your body, but it is a very individual thing. Have substances that can be taken in your body within one year of stopping use" Tannure said.

Vitor is fucked now, in before he looks like shit his next fight.

Glad this TRT thing is going away, it only benefited former juicers 95% of the time.

i was reading tweets from fighters' reactions. 1 guy was on TRT and said that the doc told him to get off it, train less, sleep more and then he wont need it so that's what he did and he felt great again.

I welcome the Machida era..... hope he wins!!!

I honestly don't know who will win. It's likely that Machida will just circle around for 5 rounds, taking hits and attempting counters. On the other hand, we have seen him destroy people when he wants.. so I dunno... Machida is so annoying in that he can be the most exciting, or least exciting fighter on any given night.

Ding Dong Kim is really looking good in his last few fights.

KOs of durable hathaway and eric silva and a 4 fight win streak. infact his only losses in his 13 UFC fights are to carlos condit's epic flying knee out of nowhere, and an injury 45 seconds into his demian maia fight.

He doesn't like to fight outside Asia though (although he did fight in Brazil once lately)

If they can time it so he gets a title fight in Korea, that would be epic

I read an interview a while back where he said it was very difficult fighting outside of Asia from a cost perspective as well

The fight I wanna see is Rousey vs Cyborg... If it's Carano, she'll get her arm snapped round 1...

Cyborg needs to make 135 a few fights. I think Dana is going to hold off on that fight as long as possible. Cyborg will win and Dana's cash cow will be gone.
