Watched the first episode yesterday. Was a bit confused during the beginning but it picked up towards the end. Gonna try watching second and maybe 3rd episode before going to bed.

Apparently someone who works for HBO explained the whole series. Possible huge spoilers, you've been warned.
Spoiler!

only 3 episodes left :(

Loved the shift in perspective that I'm sure most of us knew was coming, but now there's no BS. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense, but that seems far too obvious to me.

Spoiler!

Only time will tell I guess. Anyway, this is a good piece on i09 a friend recommended to me a few days ago. Gives you a little more info on the "Yellow King" bit, and might give you some ideas as to where the show is heading.

Some people think that Rust is being setup. The last scene pans out, showing him standing in the room inspecting that ornament. As the camera goes even further out, we see a window frame surrounding Rust. Symbolism in the window frame, like he's being "framed" for being the killer.

Other people believe the supposed falling out that Rust had with Hart was a ruse to throw the powerful people behind the killings from targeting Hart while Rust continued to investigate in secret. He may have even sabotaged his relationship to protect that girl we later saw him with.

Just theories though.

So fucking cool that it has ties to a weird, real book.

This show is that show that nobody watches and then watches it after the season is over and then say they were watching it from the beginning :troll:

I can't remember a show from HBO that I didn't like!

Side note:

I just looked up McConaughey's filmography on wiki since I remember him from shit comedy movies and I realized after starring in a turd of a movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past he has been in some seriously good movies.

What a way to throw your career back on track.

EDIT: Also he'll be starring in the newest Christopher Nolan film Interstellar! NOICE!

quasi 03-03-2014 11:30 AM

He does some good movies, he also does a lot of shitty ones. With his Oscar win he sort of reminded me of Nicolas Cage in who would have thought he'd ever win an Oscar? Dallas Buyers Club was probably my favorite movie of the year so I was glad to see that MM and Leto both won for their roles.

This series is getting better and better with every episode, it's sad it's almost over because I'm really enjoying it.

white rocket 03-03-2014 02:36 PM

Another cliffhanger ending. I found the show pretty slow in the beginning but now, as the clues are starting to come together, I'm right into it!

Kudos for MM for his Oscar(and Leto too). They both really deserved it for their roles in DBC.

radioman 03-03-2014 02:43 PM

Yes when they started talking to the guy mowing the grass I grabbed the remote to see if the episode was almost over.... I could just feel it ending on a cliffhanger... ONE MORE WEEK
