If Rust has covered up the crime scene like he did this episode, who's to say that it hasn't happened multiple times before? And why was he studying the artifacts at the end so intently? Seems a bit strange.

I kind of think that Rust, being super obsessive, got too deep into the case and it drove him off the deep end. The characters keep referring to the Yellow King, but knowing sort of the mythos behind that, I feel as if the Yellow King may be a cult symbol and not an actual person. The prisoner they interrogated suggested there were "big people" involved, which would support that idea. If that was the case, Rust may have spent all this time searching for someone who doesn't exist. Maybe a cult has been watching them, and played them all along? Who knows, just spitballing here haha.

OK so after rewatching some epsidoes/scenes I'm trying to put things together. Now with that last episode we learned that there was a third man. Who is the yellow king? Episode 5 left us thinking it was an inside job/cover up or maybe it was Cole who has done everything.

Cole knows police protocol. He knew he would/could be photographed at the crime scenes and that his license plate would be tracked. I think he wanted to be found to get into the situation he is in now where he can learn more about the case. He's truly innocent and wants to find the yellow king.

Marty keeps talking about Coles instability while we've scene in the show he actually has this façade of being a family man where he is far from it. He sleeps around and comes home late (but when he comes home late was he really with someone?). There a scene early on in the show when the girls were drawing pictures of sex/torture (can't really remember if there was some torture in it) but it leaves me to believe that they are either being abused OR that Marty has these thoughts lingering in his head because of something he's done and imagined the drawings. Another scene I keep thinking about is when the girls are fighting in the front yard and there is incredible tension and you think something terrible is about to happen to the girls. They're fighting over something. A Crown! Does that make them princesses to Marty's yellow KING?

I'm really enjoying this show and I think part of the way to get more enjoyment is to come up with silly conclusion and see if it fits!

Connections between Marty as the killer and all those tampons and pads he was buying?

I think Maggie's family is involved. I think it's Maggie's dad that's involved in this shit and that's why his daughter's have all this weird shit going on with the dolls and drawings. Would also explain why Marty freaks the fuck out while looking at the video that Rust shows him next episode.

Yup the eldest daughter acting up, and in ep 2 the dolls placed in a "cult" gang rape ritual. Also in ep 6 when Rust was interviewing the girl they found she mentioned about being forced to watch them perform the ritual on another girl, could be Marty's daughter.

All the "yellow" that Tuttle was wearing the watch, tie and handkerchief seems to easy. Like a smoke screen. He's probably involved but too easy to be the yellow king.
