The dialog of Vince Vaughn's character is supposed to be awkward. The theme of this season is people trying to be what they're not.

Vince Vaughn trying to be a criminal turned legit businessman. Using big words to try to fit in and sound smart, but instead of doing it with grace and class it comes off sounding forced

why would the thugs attack the bystanders...
last few episodes have been a totally snooze fest and the conventional shootout didn't help.

I think one of the biggest flaws is that...so a bunch of corrupt businessmen/gangsters die. OH NOES...who cares? There isn't the urgency or justice...just a bunch of cops trying to solve a case while their bosses try to screw them. A TALE AS OLD AS TIME.

I'd rather watch some fucked up Yellow King weirdness.

This show is still confusing as hell but it actually had my attention. And not just the orgy. :badpokerface:

What gets me is the fact that the first season jumped back and forth in time but somehow the ideas and the story were so clear to me. This season, I barely know what's going on.
