Sbisa was a horrible pick in the trade. dL |
I'm not gonna pick on Sbisa for either of those, that's on Miller man... He had lots of time to adjust to that little tip on the first one and its up to him to pick it up through traffic in the second one (though it was a great shot) |
Only thing worth watching this year for the canucks is the 4th line and ryan miller performance :inout: |
Either way...fucking 0/3 on the pp. I just roll my eyes every time I see were going to the pp. Can't score a pp goal for shit these days. (Buffalo doesn't count lol) |
No. Luca Sbisa has these lapses where he makes a stupid bone headed move. More so than anything. |
|
LOOOOOOOOOOL we just got nhl'd 10/10 proof the league hates Vancouver haha |
At least we got the crowds loud for something. dL |
I'd actually accidentally on purpose nail the refs with shots/hits at this rate. That was a pretty bad call. Games over anyways...Fuck I hope this isn't a prologue to the hawks game after |
So hard to watch good thing football is on soon |
Horvat to Kenins....scores! It's like listening to the future... Edit: 3-2...aww shieeet. I hope we don't get a pp now lol |
Very entertaining, much excitement, will repeat |

only positives are horvat, kenins and hopefully clendening.... kenins looks like he could be a beast in a few yrs... but we've all heard that before |
Hoping Ronalds Kenins won't turn out to be a Herberts Vasiljevs 2.0 |
Clendening skates well and handles the puck well |
I like that kenins kid hard on the puck and pretty good bottom 6 player! Need more youth in the line up with this aging core! Wondering JB has anymore moves in the making here... |

Well that's all we have so what can you do.... We have literally a shitload of bottom 6 guys who can play need more top end players.. |
If we keep playing at this rate, and no one is willing to take a trade with kassian, i'd put him up first line just to see how it works. But coaches hate his attitude and he doesn't want to play the way the team wants him to. He has the potential to be good out of the whole roster IMO. |
I was at the Buffalo game where I was able to watch the players even when they were off camera away from the play, I was paying extra attention to Kassian and I noticed something I'm sure irritates everyone especially the coach -- he stayed out at least 20+ seconds longer than his line mates every single shift... He would start to go to the bench and then always try to stay on for one more rush or whatever and even when he did go to the bench he harsh slacked there and showed a lot of attitude doing it. Not good. |
Sure now you notice these little details. What if the team generated a good scoring chance? Or better yet a goal? Will you be singing the same tune? I know he didnt score but it sounds like you became a victim of the media/fan base looking for a scape goat. |
I was personally hoping he would for his own sake, I want to see him succeed... I'm a Canucks fan not a parrot for the media. That said, it's a super huge pissoff for the coach and your linemates and the people on the subsequent line if you never line change when you're supposed to. That was my point -- it's the little things/details that kill. |

i'm one of the people who scream that we need some top end talent in the top six and a legit first line but how? i know we need it badly but there's not much we can do unless we're willing to part with prospects and picks. That'd be stupid. There isn't much of a market out there for the Canucks because our forward roster has no trade value. No one in the forward roster can fetch the Canucks a top six forward unless they were packaged with picks/prospects. It's a huge risk to trade anyone from our d core, so that's pretty much out. I can only hope that there are teams (mainly contenders) who have NHL-ready prospects that can be traded for good but not NHL ready prospects (ie. the Clendening-Forsling trade). But that's also a stretch. It sucks not seeing them score but at this point, its short term pains for long term gains. Hopefully someone from the farm steps up next season and Horvat can move up to the third line/second line and generate more offense. |
