IIRC, one or two way contracts have no relevance to whether or not someone can clear waivers without getting claimed - it's the amount of games they've played

No that is some stupid EA NHL game rule that too many people think are the real waiver rules. Waiver rules are set by a combination of # of years accrued in NHL, players age and pro games played.

Two way contract has no effect on wavier exemption, all it means is that if a player has a 2 way contract, he gets paid a lower AHL salary if he gets sent to the AHL.
