Team gets the shutout, neither goalie gets credit. Miller gets the win.

murd0c 02-22-2015 05:38 PM

great game today, sad I missed most of it but nice to se Kass still lighting it up

Jmac 02-22-2015 05:53 PM

Jensen sent down, Bonino expected to play Tuesday. Markstrom or Ericsson likely to be called up.

bobbinka 02-22-2015 06:16 PM

markstrom's the one being called up

I love how to randomly found that Jofa helmet at a practice facility and kept it.

Looks like Miller may be out long term

Was seen limping badly post game.
Markstrom can play 10 games or 30 days whichevers first without requiring to go thru waivers when he's sent back down.

can they send him down for a couple days and bring him back up to avoid waivers a second time?

No, but if I'm reading the CBA correctly, he should be exempt due to his age.

13.2 The "Playing Season Waiver Period" shall begin on the twelfth (12th) day prior to the start of the Regular Season and end on the day following the last day of a Club's Playing Season. Subject to the provisions of this Article, the rights to the services of a Player may be Loaned to a club of another league, upon fulfillment of the following conditions, except when elsewhere expressly prohibited:
(a) Regular Waivers were requested and cleared during the Playing Season Waiver Period; and
(b) the Player has not played in ten (10) or more NHL Games cumulative since Regular Waivers on him were last cleared, and more than thirty (30) days cumulative on an NHL roster have not passed since Regular Waivers on him were last cleared.

13.4 Exempt Players.
...
A Player 25 years old or older who plays in one (1) or more Professional Games in any season shall be exempt from Regular Waivers for the remainder of that season.

For Players age 20 or older, Professional Games include NHL Games, all minor league regular season and playoff games and any other professional games, including but not limited to, play in European leagues when Player is on Loan to such club, and while Player is party to an SPC.

Markstrom turned 25 in January and has played 1 or more pro games this season.

No.

There is a timer and the timer doesn't reset.

fliptuner 02-22-2015 08:18 PM

replay on Shaw 224 if anyone missed the game

bobbinka 02-22-2015 08:28 PM

it's Eddie's time to shine

Markstrom's 10 games/30 days is not really gonna matter. Trade deadline is Mar 2. If we are fighting for a spot, we'll ride Eddie all the way till Miller's back. There's no way he gets 10 games. If we're considered out of the playoff race, we'd send him back regardless.

trancehead 02-22-2015 08:42 PM

we rode Eddie last year lol. Did a great job considering the shitshow that was last year

Markstrom looks to be trending up in the American league. So maybe he does get a few more games if miller is out for a while

PiuYi 02-22-2015 08:48 PM

goalie controversy when miller is back! :toot:

spoon.ek9 02-22-2015 08:55 PM

Miller hasn't exactly been helping his case lol. It should be a no brainer at this point that Miller is the starter but he keeps fucking up. Lack is holding his own in net, that's for sure. It does feel like another goalie controversy.

pastarocket 02-22-2015 09:11 PM

Oh Hockey Gods, heal our Canucks players quickly. Stop the injury bug, please!

Don't forget about Kenis. He is turning out to be a pretty good little pickup too.

That had to be CoHo's best goal as a Canuck. It made me so happy when I watched that on TV :')
