If only they could ditch Higgins and give Jensen another shot |
Bo's been great since the break. I'm hoping he doesn't suffer the sophomore blues next year and continues to improve. Dorsett has really impressed, they were talking about how well he reads plays last night and he does a hell of job in the bottom six. Plus he did a good job mentoring Horvat for a little bit. I hope Kenins keeps up his wrecking ball routine...its been a while since we've had a little ball of energy in the bottom six. Normally i'd be the first to jump on a Hate on Higgins wagon but he's been decent lately, 6 A in the last 5 games. Guy still can't score for shit but at least there's some contributions now. |

Higgins isn't going anywhere so it's not worth talking about. I'm waiting for Richardson to come back and eff things up... I really wish they would just dump that guy, this streak of late has shown we definitely don't need him. |
Alex Ovechkin denies diving, says Ryan Getzlaf is jealous of his hair - Puckdaddy.com Getzlaf on Ovi diving during last Sundays Caps Ducks game Spoiler! Ovi's response Spoiler! |
Getzlaf plays on a team with Perry and Kesler. Sorry, but it's pretty hypocritical to call someone else out for diving when your linemate for the past decade and another of your key teammates are notorious divers. |

doesn't snp usually repeat 4pm games at 7 anyways? |
lol @ hating on Richardson He carries a $1.15 million caphit, plays on the third line, and is about as effective as Higgins |
Well..... I like Vey, he adds creativity -- you can add size and strength but you can't add offensive skill. There's a million Richardsons out there and I like Matthias in the middle. Buncha meanies, you guys just have the hots for Richardson's gf. Richardson doesn't get the point production that Higgins does. If you hate on Vey then you gotta hate on the honey badger cuz he's below Vey's production this year and is a minus player unlike Vey. Same goes for Matthias, less production than Higgins or Vey. Jus because players are more "likeable" doesn't mean they're better players. |
We just like whoever's on the current hot streak and throw the others who aren't in the spot light or injured under the bus. We have a decent combination of bottom 6 players who can be effective. The biggest weakness is a legit 2nd line and defense. |
we have a legit 2nd line, theyre disguised as our 1st currently :troll: |
we have a bottom 9 and an older but still effective 1st line |

After watching last night's game, I can't wait to hear Don Cherry pronounce Alex Biega's name. |
Why the hate on Vey? It's clearly still early in his stage of development and is showing great promise for the future. It's expected he makes mistakes but he's impressed me so far and I'm glad we have him, That said how can anyone hate on Richardson? He's been a great addition. |

Brad Richardson: GP: 43 G: 8 A: 11 PTS: 19 Chris Higgins GP: 55 G: 7 A: 19 PTS: 26 Btw, I don't mind Vey, at all. The kid is only 23 and I believe his game will improve as he matures. Plus, he's still a better option than Jordan Schroeder. |
I've been enjoying watching the young guys Bo and Kenin as the energetic wrecking ball is awesome! Dorsett has been all over the ice too, 2nd line is invisible. We have three 3rd lines. |
If this team wants to add Depth on the backend one of those bottom 9 guys will be moved... Aside from... Bo, Sedins, Vrbata.. I would not be surprised if one or more pieces go on March2nd |
I'm sure a lot of people here heard today that Matthias was publicly made available for the right deal. I don't think info like this gets leaked by accident. Hate to see him go, but his value is at an all time high right now. Pretty sure GMJB's goal here is a young, NHL established Dman. |
And he's also a free agent at the end of the year which is a big thing |
Word around the mill is that Kassian and Mathias are the most likely candidates. Although Kass is heating up and I've liked Mathy's energy. I hope if they go it's for a solid return.. |
Kassian had quite a few turnovers last game. There was even a distinct negative reaction to those by WD (as described by Garrett). I dunno, I hoped Kass would continue his strong play but it looks like old habits are creeping up on him again (minus a parade to the penalty box). |
