That's more of a byproduct of playing on an extremely horrible team and AHL level teammates

To be fair, Bo is on a line with Kenins and Hansen. It's not like Bo is playing top line minutes with all stars either.

What you're saying isn't completely without merit and I can see where you're coming from. However, CoHo has been terrible in terms of defensive coverage. He wasn't good at it when he was in Vancouver and it certainly hasn't changed in Buffalo. This is probably why he's been a healthy scratch for so many games.

With the way things are going CoHo is really filling out to be Ville Leino V2.

Nabatron 02-22-2015 11:32 PM

If coho gets bought out u think van would take a chance on him again? But I doubt he gets bought out depending on his term and amount...

I'd take him provided you can keep his dad away. I mean, he found some success here in Vancouver before getting shipped off due to the toxic relationship he had with AV. I said the dad bit because everyone should google Chris Hodgson and see the scandal he went through with natives/aboriginals.

If he gets bought out in the summer, Buffalo will only be subject to 1/3 of what he is owed and will have a cap hit of under 1 million. Pretty good deal. But if he stays another year and gets bought out after Feb, Buffalo be subject to 2/3 of his contract.

So if buyout is what's on the table (because a trade is sure as hell not very likely), it should be this season and not the next.

Of course they could also roll the dice and fire Nolan and hope for a coach that is willing to work with CoHo.

Hondaracer 02-23-2015 06:23 AM

No one found it odd they Sedins have a brother that could be a triplet who's never been seen/mentioned? Lol

SumAznGuy 02-23-2015 06:34 AM

So according to the Canucks twitter feed, it looks like Tom Sestito has parted ways with the club as he will not be playing with either the Canucks or the Comets for the rest of the season.
Unless JB and TL can find a way to keep their relationship going with Jensen, I can see him being the next guy to go. He get's called up to the club to sit and watch last night's game and after the game is sent back to Utica since Bonino is supposedly ready to play next game.

6o4__boi 02-23-2015 06:50 AM

^ i don't get it? It's not even a big deal (regarding Jensen)
Sestito, anyone could see it coming for a long time. The guy can barely play in the ECHL.

Nothing wrong with Jensen being recalled as emergency seeing as players seem to be dropping left and right. Utica is also pretty close to the Islanders so why not?
Didn't Corrado sit for a long time watching games? Pretty sure there's a method to the madness. Either way I don't see anything toxic between Jensen and JB & TL...not sure how that came up too lol.

I always liked Sestitio

Sestito no longer on Comets roster - Vancouver Canucks - News

Quote:

Vancouver -- The Vancouver Canucks and Utica Comets jointly announced today that forward Tom Sestito will not play for either club for the remainder of this season.

Sestito will workout on his own and will continue to receive his salary while the Canucks work to identify a new club where he can continue his career.

The Canucks and Comets thank Tom for his contributions and wish him luck in the future.

It's completely normal for call ups to get that treatment. It happens all the time

XplicitLuder 02-23-2015 08:09 AM

Miller out supposedly 4-6 weeks

spoon.ek9 02-23-2015 08:10 AM

goodbye tostito. while i appreciate your contributions, your presence will not be missed on our team. good luck.

Great now we can't trade him to Sharks for scraps

i actually kinda like sestito alil bit but whenever he fought it always gave the other team energy cause he always got his ass kicked

6o4__boi 02-23-2015 08:34 AM

Who needs Tostito's when you've got RK41 right?
Enforcers are a dying breed...which makes so much sense. It's always puzzled me that teams will put borderline retards on skates just to increase toughness. There's literally thousands of players to pick from...surely there must be tough guys who can play and fight right?

McMillan was kinda decent last night. At least i actually noticed he was playing unlike the previous games.

18mins ago Canucks gave an update saying Miller is heading back to Vancouver to get a MRI. So how can they report how long he will be out?

They said on the radio normally that is a time frame for a knee injury but they are not sure yet.

“@TSN1040: As per @sportsnetmurph - hearing Miller out minimum 4-6 weeks. Benning to address media at 9am PT.”

That's why I said "supposedly" meaning not 100% accurate :)

murd0c 02-23-2015 09:00 AM

Just saw the tweet, the weird thing is its almost a year to the day we had the winter classic and Lu was traded.

*cough*hack* JOHN SCOTT aka buttfugger 2.0!

Not really racist! 02-23-2015 09:34 AM

Re: Jensen

If Benning says this to the media, what makes you think he doesn't communicate with Jensen?

Quote:

Benning stressed that Jensen’s callup from the American League is “precautionary.” He said he hopes one or two of the injured Canucks might be ready to play against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
You're given and know your role as soon as you get called up, even if it changes... well its part of the business. It's not like hes playing that well in Utica either, so he shouldn't think he's "entitled" to a spot even if there's all these injuries.

Still a 4h drive though

Yes, it happens a lot, and yes I was the first to complain that it happened to Corrado.
But Jensen is 22 now. He is seeing players getting traded or signed and playing on the team while he is playing in Utica or getting the call up and sitting in the press box. These guys are professionals and get paid well, but at the root of it, they want to play hockey.

Of course, he isn't quite lighting it up in Utica, so he doesn't have much leverage if he was to ask for a trade.

highfive 02-23-2015 09:59 AM

Any players unhappy about getting called up and watching from the press box should go and look at Kenins. Kid comes up. When he get his chance, he plays his ass off. Scratched for 1 or 2 games. Gets to play again, same effort level and plays his ass off.

6o4__boi 02-23-2015 10:00 AM

Jensen pretty much has no choice but to put up or shut up
It's not like he's had a breakthrough...at this point in his career when the brass says jump, all he can say is "how high?"

Yeah it can be frustrating but it was pretty beneficial when they made Corrado watch those games, he came out hungry and played damn good until he got injured.

Almost PPG on this current streak

Still too early to tell, but it makes the Schneider trade :notbad:

Losing Miller is not a big deal. Lack's just as capable.
A few years ago, we had a 0.92x SAV% goalie controversy. Now we have a 0.91x SAV% goalie controversy...
:lol

spideyv2 02-23-2015 10:14 AM

Isn't Corrado the same age as Jensen? Lol, stop complaining
