I never considered it a 3rd Jersey since its more of a retro jersey in my eyes.

Stick in rink jersey = 3rd jersey / alternate jersey since they occasionally use it

Retro is the Flying V and skate logo from 94 since it's never worn anymore

punkwax 07-29-2014 03:39 PM

Stick in rink was the Canucks' first jersey so more retro than V or skate.. I guess they modernized it a little, but it was the first, and easily best, jersey the Canucks have ever worn.

The stick in the rink is before the flying V and skate logo, its the first jersey the team every had so that's why I consider that retro.

I meant the modernized stick in rink jersey = 3rd jersey/alternate (that they still wear in some games)

The retro one I'm assuming you're talking about:

the new stick logo would be retro because retro "imitates" a past style

if they wore the original one outright it would be vintage

sonick 07-29-2014 04:01 PM

They should modernize the spaghetti-skate logo.

ah can totally see what murd0c now meant by retro...got the words retro and vintage mixed up :lol

Bottom line they need to make the stick in rink the official home jerseys and the 40th anniversary's as the away jerseys :high:

AzNightmare 07-29-2014 07:56 PM

Any chance for this?

Don't care as main or 3rd. Just want it in there!

Ronin 07-29-2014 08:13 PM

Love the logo but it needs a little bit more. It's almost...too clean.

Little green on the shoulders?

wreck 07-29-2014 09:56 PM

yea i like the pilot logo - maybe lose the rink logo goggles.. a logo within a logo is too much.

knowing our spineless president he will bring back the cartoony, 'out to get em' johnny canuck. pass.

PiuYi 07-29-2014 10:33 PM

i like the vintage stick in rink more than the retro stick in rink, ice should be white.... not blue

really like the pilot johnny canuck jersey too but not sure what connection to pilot is

Jmac 07-29-2014 10:58 PM

0 games played during Linden's tenure as President, already being called spineless ...

Canucks fans are just the best ...

Lowered_Klass 07-29-2014 11:08 PM

Any logo is better than the constipated orca we have now.

Bring on Johnny!

Whats the significance of the aviator as a logo?

Canuck is the nickname for some famous Canadian military aircraft IIRC

punkwax 07-30-2014 05:38 AM

Johnny Canuck, the comic book character, was in the Airforce.

Montreal is lowballing PK in terms of the salary offer ahead of this Friday's arbitration hearing:

Report: Subban seeks $8.5M in arbitration, Habs offer $5.25M

According to Ken Campbell of The Hockey News, the Canadiens submitted an offer of $5.25 million on a one-year contract, while Subban - represented by agent Don Meehan of Newport - is asking for $8.5 million.

The one-year offer from the Canadiens would still make Subban a restricted free agent with arbitration rights next summer.

Does anyone know how arbitration works? I'm wondering if the arbitrator, can offer an alternate salary offer after hearing the offer from both sides.

Spoiler!

Arbitration 101:
NHL Salary Arbitration Explained

He'd prolly get close to Shea Weber money after arbitration. Weber got $7.5M 1 year in 2011. I'd say Subban would get somewhere in that neighborhood but no more than $9.

That $5.25M lowball offer :lawl:
