I just let it auto renew.. $40 once a year, it's not worth my time cancelling and sitting around waiting for a rare deal to save $1 or $2 per month...

Whoops, something went wrong...

Streaming Error

You seem to be using an unblocker or proxy. Please turn off any of these services and try again. For more help, visit netflix.com/proxy.

Did you read Netflix is cracking down on VPNs.

Nlkko 02-23-2016 07:35 PM

Netflix US is fine here with PIA. Shaw ISP, connecting to Seattle.

syee 02-23-2016 09:39 PM

No problems here either with PIA. Using US - West if that matters and on Shaw as well.

vitaminG 02-23-2016 09:43 PM

Do you have DNS leak protection turned on? If not, turn it on and try again.
I don't think ISP should matter since on Netflix's end, all they'd see is PIA's info.

How does one do that?

I had a friend on Telus try it and she got the same thing as the rest of you get, even with the DNS leak protection so maybe there's more to this? Anyways, give it a try anyways. Couldn't hurt...

PIA here as well, US netflix no longer working. RIP!

syee 02-28-2016 08:36 PM

Yep, finally gone for me as well. Ah well. It was fun while it lasted. Still gonna keep my PIA account for when I'm on public wifi.

:yuno:

Hopefully they'll rotate IPs or something to get around this.

CCA-Dave 03-11-2016 02:11 PM

Doubtful. They've said that they won't be assisting to help solve Geo-Locked content problems.

It's time I sign up. Thanks, Skinny, for all the great info in this thread. I don't do the Netflix thing so no big deal. If it supports RS, bonus.

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2016 03:01 AM

Right on!

BTW Netflix US still works for me, for now at least

nubtub 04-09-2016 09:49 AM

.

En4cer 05-28-2016 02:32 PM

i signed up and downloaded everything fine. But i noticed that when i activate PIA and connected it turns off my firewall on my Macbook is that normal?

Hondaracer 05-28-2016 02:48 PM

Reminder for people, it's best to renew your subscription before it runs out. Originally I paid with BTC and I had nothing left to Renew my subscription, so it ran out and I could not change my payment method so had to create a new account and re-up

A minor inconvenience but easier if you just renew early

Ulic Qel-Droma 07-20-2016 04:35 AM

hey guys does your netflix still work with PIA?

Nlkko 07-20-2016 06:08 AM

Havent worked for a long time.

Just signed up, RS support is always good!

Sorry but probably just regurgitated questions.
Should I mess with any of the "Advanced" options on the right? On or off?
Connection type - udp
Remote port - auto
Request port forwarding
PIA MACE
I read about Kill Switch, probably on?
IPv6 leak protection
Use small packets
Debug mode

No need to change anything if it's working fine. Kill switch is useful if you really must stay on VPN at all times.

This is a good chance to update that PIA is STILL one of the only VPNs that do not log and do not share logs with governments. There are other alternatives out there, some cheaper maybe some even faster, but if security is at all a concern, PIA are still the best option. This is the main reason we switched to them as a sponsor - not because they pay more (they actually pay less) but because they really are the best option (and thanks again whoever pointed them out to me back then!)

vash13 10-11-2016 10:03 PM

I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly. I turned on my PIA and when I DNS leaked test and also googled where is my IP address I received:

104.200.154.66 none Total Server Solutions L.L.C. United States

Is this Correct? Should it show an American location?
