Especially with Hamhuis missing almost half the season and Vrbatas down season, doesn't exactly boost either players value

there's something about Vancouver and its inability to make good trades or even make trades in general (or draft choices) at least in recent history, when was the last time we actually "won" a trade?
i think that's got everything to do with ownership having some sort of veto on any trades

Friedman: Vrbata for sure. You can tell he wants to go. Hamhuis, if he wants to go. There are probably a ton of people telling him to go, because it makes business sense for him. The interesting one for me is Hansen. Teams are willing to pay a bit more for term. But, at some point, you have to have good pros on your roster, especially around young players.
