Yeah Kenins was a disappointment...the guy lost track of what made him stand out..
Back to Europe for him it looks like.

Benning was the scout for the sabres who drafted Gaustad and Wideman in the 7/8th rounds.

lol

Nabatron 02-24-2016 02:54 PM

i guess same thing kinda happened to kenins like what happened with coraddo....wasnt kenins injured last year during utica's playoff run which pretty much fucked his off season schedule...i would give him another shot...also dont get why he would try and move him since utica needs players too..

pastarocket 02-24-2016 02:56 PM

It's obvious that Dim Jim doesn't have the ability to make good trades where he can fleece another team's GM in exchange for our garbage players.

Honestly, he would probably trade away Bartkowski for one puck, not even a bag of pucks. :lawl:

murd0c 02-24-2016 03:00 PM

at least we now know he wants to trade Bartkowski rather then singing him for a 5 year 20mill deal next season

Nabatron 02-24-2016 03:03 PM

^you mean trade him for half a puck haha...

Looked him up. 26 year old d man. i think it's the willie d connection with Texas stars.

6o4__boi 02-24-2016 03:30 PM

Lol hes a right handed dman
Decent points in the KHL.

He'll probably get a look next year if he even decides to come over

spideyv2 02-24-2016 03:33 PM

Remember when this team was infatuated with getting "bigger"

Nabatron 02-24-2016 03:38 PM

yah now its get faster and at average height

highfive 02-24-2016 03:44 PM

Benning is tired of meats and potatoes.

He's a sushi guy now...haha

murd0c 02-24-2016 03:48 PM

Drafted in the 5th round and we traded a 5th to get him lol

I had high hopes in the latvian locomotive lol. He had some good chemistry with boho at one point.

blows my mind how the Bruins mentally fucked up every Canuck player after the series (no one really played the same/regressed pretty much) and literally has fucked up the franchise with an ex-assistant GM in Benning who is now the current GM :fuckthatshit:

dbaz 02-24-2016 04:13 PM

good speed, and has offensive touch
didn't look great in Edmonton, but no defenseman does
has connection to gultz and willie from time in dallas organization
obviously a gradin connection here too

think its worth a gamble. rather have a dman who can step in that's better than weber, bartkowski, biega at the price of a 5th.

future is nice but too many late round d prospects in ahl/juniors with contracts or contracts coming, 7 or so I think. wouldn't bother wasting many picks on future dmen unless in the first 2-3 rounds, with higher upside

Larsen's agent was just on 1040 and he said he's excited to come back to Canada and sign with the Canucks in the offseason.

Tim Budong 02-24-2016 05:33 PM

im surprised no one took higgins

tbh... 1.55 against the cap for a responsible winger who can kill penalties just fine with one year term is depth

cuz hot garbage from the leafs for a 2nd round..im sure higgins can fetch more

sadly not?
or JB just doesn't negotiate well...

Hondaracer 02-24-2016 05:49 PM

Lol we trading players who play in the fucking KHL?!?

Lolol Jesus

Well, he's a KHLer that is currently on a 1-year contract.

Meaning he'll be free to go wherever at the end of the season - namely Vancouver.

Tim Budong 02-24-2016 06:15 PM

The entire lipsync battle is up

How to play off the boards with Evgeni Malkin.. I think this is probably one of the more entertaining ones. The Sedin one was garbage

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with the Sedins episode.
Those drills were stupid, and didn't showcase their talent.

EuterVanWasser 02-24-2016 09:37 PM

Malkin is great. Best part is he sounds like Arnie trash talking while on skates.

He should be hanging it up at the end of the season when his contract expires. A player retiring before their contract expires will incur cap penalties; especially with less term remaining. It's to prevent teams from signing guys long term to spread out the annual cap hit and not have them play out the full length of the deal. If a team was needing to meet the cap floor I'm certain Ohlund would've been dealt already. Similar to what we saw happen to Pronger/Arizona and Savard/Florida.

Sucks for the Lightning because they can't buy him out since he is on the LTIR.

Ch28 02-25-2016 02:32 AM

It's pretty sad that three of this team's best defensemen (Ohlund, Jovo, Salo) all lost their careers due to injuries.
