On Gudas, at that point he had already been ejected from 2 games in the prior month for illegal checks. So that was his 3rd game misconduct/match penalty for illegal hits in 4 weeks. And didn't receive a single suspension.

He did get suspended earlier this season for a check on Mika Zibanejad and also received another game misconduct (no suspension) for a hit in October.

Basically, he's Raffi Torres ... But he plays for the Flyers, so the NHL doesn't care.

Raffi is he man! When gillis didn't resign him all our grit and hits left as well...till kenins showed that he could hit for half a season then is most likely gone at the end of the year!

I think Mccann has a higher ceiling then Virtanen, Virtanen has been able to show more this season because of his size right out of junior where Mccann needs to put on 10-15lbs.

McCann would definitely benefit from a year or two in Utica building strength and good habits
...that is until fuckface Benning decides to trade him for another plug because he wasn't sure if the scoring will translate into the NHL


imo, Jake would benefit more staying in the NHL and learning the power game in measured minutes and limited roles
