Keith needs to made an example of! He should miss the rest of the season and playoffs....but knowing the NHL he will just miss the season...

The long painful season must be getting to you, I would have expected nothing less from Jmac than a fully indexed wall post (spoilered of course) with reference notes and points of interest bolded for easy browsing :teach:

Virtanen gets 2 games.

Let's see what Keith gets.

6o4__boi 03-30-2016 12:04 PM

my money's on 5 games
then he'll be back and fresh for the 1st round

nhl player safety :fuckthatshit:
100000% guarantee Keith will get special treatment

murd0c 03-30-2016 12:54 PM

I'm thinking he's going to get 8 games

Mike Oxbig 03-30-2016 01:09 PM

Keith should get rest of the season + 2 playoff games. Let see how good hawks can be being handicap on the D

cdizzle_996 03-30-2016 01:21 PM

Keith will get 3 games from his in person hearing, appeal it down to 2 after he's already served the 3 and then get reimbursed..because NHL.

pastarocket 03-30-2016 01:27 PM

The league is a damn joke when it comes to determining the amount of punishment certain players, the star players, receive for dangerous hits or stick work.

No consistency at all!

You might as well let that monkey that TSN used in the playoffs for playoff predictions determine the amount of games for suspension. Give that monkey a wheel to spin! :lawl:

I think 2 games was fair for the Virtanen hit. Rough month for Polak, first he got beat by Darnell Nurse and only a few weeks later took that hit from Virtanen.

I hope Keith gets the book thrown at him. Will the NHL actually hand out some serious discipline to a superstar on the NHL's golden child right before playoffs? I wouldn't count on it.

murd0c 03-30-2016 03:23 PM

I think the 5min penalty and the game was enough... Yes it was late but still shoulder to shoulder and Virtanen hasn't been in shit before which should of factored in. With that being it helps with Tank Nation so I'm more then ok with the two games he received.

TjAlmeida 03-30-2016 07:44 PM

Shinkaruk with his first NHl goal tonight.

murd0c 03-30-2016 07:55 PM

lets not talk about him anymore cause I'm just angry about it!!

Jmac 03-30-2016 08:11 PM

5 weeks later ...

Good call, Benning. :derp:

Mike Oxbig 03-30-2016 08:13 PM

Watch Canucks draft Chychurn because he will say “He (Laine) likes to score. We don’t know if that’s going to translate to the NHL or not,”

:fuckthatshit:

PiuYi 03-30-2016 08:55 PM

Flames signed Jankowski to ELC... kinda worried Weisbrod will convince Benning to trade Boeser for him

Tegra_Devil 03-30-2016 09:12 PM

Solid tank tonight . I am pleased

6o4__boi 03-30-2016 09:24 PM

We're finally at a point where we might be able to acquire elite franchise building blocks and assemble future potential but that might not even happen because the people in charge of assembling the team and managing assets are a bunch of incompetent bumbling morons.

That fucking Shinkaruk trade was goddammed dumb as bricks no matter what angle you look at it. What fucking grinds my gears is the fact that he couldn't get a dman so he settles on a fucking plug that can't even win fucking faceoffs to boot. Holy fucking stupid. A blood vessel fucking erupts somewhere in my body every time someone brings up a fucking decision that the dumb as shit management makes.

Move over Edmonton, we might just have assembled a management group even fucking dumber than yours.

Fucking hell, this franchise can't catch a goddamned break.

This could've changed over the past few weeks because our management changes their minds on a daily basis it seems, but ...

So maybe McCann for Jankowski ... Or possibly Tanev ...

Note that Dorsett and Sutter were called foundation pieces earlier this season, now not explicitly mentioned as part of Benning's core group moving forward.

Mike Oxbig 03-30-2016 10:29 PM

We can probably get Yakupov for McCann and Tanev

but Benning will say Yakupov - “He likes to score. We don’t know if that’s going to translate to the NHL or not,”

spideyv2 03-30-2016 11:05 PM

Lol'd at Dorsett as a foundation piece

He likes to score, but that hasn't translated to the NHL

Ch28 03-31-2016 12:46 AM

Benning flip flops more than a gold digger at a high roller casino

I have to disagree. Yes, short term its good for the tank but think long term too. Going forward, Virtanen is going to be considered a repeat offender because of this "soft" suspension.

NHL did the right thing. I know I didn't say so at first. But after seeing that hit a few times. He blindsided Polak. A hard hit lime the above is fine, but Jake pretty much decided to throw the hit regardless. Polak may have been okay, but the league wants to crackdown on dangerous late blindside hits as history showed us in this past that it never really ends well for the player throwing the bit nor the guy that receives the hit

trancehead 03-31-2016 08:11 AM

Polak has been having his ass handed to him lately
