Well Keith's going get suspended, intentionally swung his stick at Coyle's head and struck him, received a match penalty

I had a guy literally do the identical thing to me, with the same result.

Higgy is not helping with the tank.

-was a good wrist shot. I'll give him that.

6o4__boi 03-29-2016 07:19 PM

Goddamn it Higgins
Not now

jdmhaze 03-29-2016 07:29 PM

Keith a repeat offender involving sticks to the face.

Can they fuckin throw the book at this guy already?

6o4__boi 03-29-2016 07:38 PM

Nah he's a league superstar

Virt prolly gonna get more games than Keith will

Thank you Couture!

Jmac 03-29-2016 08:13 PM

They want to talk about players not getting the message, ala Raffi Torres, Keith has done this several times now (plus the flying Elbow on Daniel). It's fucking ridiculous that he gets away with slaps on the wrist time after time ...

highfive 03-29-2016 08:23 PM

Hahaha i find it hilarious when sharks fans do the jaw biting motion with their arm when they are on the power play. Hahhaa

If keith is suspended through the playoffs. They should've traded for Hamhuis.... Hahhaa

cdizzle_996 03-29-2016 08:26 PM

The Virt hit looked to be shoulder to shoulder from what I could see, but obviously very late.

Jmac 03-29-2016 08:30 PM

Wingels' diving helping the tank

Sentinel 03-29-2016 08:40 PM

so glad Higgy got that goal, a tiny little bright spot after being dealt a shitty season

Nabatron 03-29-2016 09:19 PM

Good tank tonight! My god the Canucks look terrible lol happy pedan fought tho..

TjAlmeida 03-29-2016 10:26 PM

Read that Jimmy vessey is going to test free agency after his college career. Preds drafted him awhile back and he has been lighting it up in college.

Hope beoser and demko don't pull the same move!

Jmac 03-29-2016 10:50 PM

If a team makes a bona fide offer, they should retain a player's rights until the player earns UFA status.

Even players with 4 years of NHL experience don't have that right; most players have to wait 8 years. Why should 4 years of college hockey earn a player more freedom than an established NHL veteran? It's hot garbage.

Nabatron 03-29-2016 11:01 PM

That NCAA rule is fuckig garbage! Also if your a NCAA player and a team drafts u beside the oilers u should honour that team that drafts u and go to that team!

Tim Budong 03-29-2016 11:38 PM

same is said for players who opt out to sign with their respected teams after the draft a few years down the line. There really is no difference.

Minor difference is that CHL/junior players who don't sign with the team that drafted them don't become UFAs, but rather re-enter the draft first and get drafted a second time. This has notably happened with Stoll, Lombardi, Boynton, Scott Parker, Craig Anderson and the Canucks re-drafted Fedor Federov after Tampa initially drafted him.

I wouldn't worry about Demko/Boeser just yet, unless they head into their senior year still not signed.

winson604 03-30-2016 06:06 AM

I guess Vessey really doesn't want to play for Nashville. He would have been paid over 100k to play the last bit of the season here plus burn 1 year off his entry level giving him just 2 more years instead of 3 before turning into a RFA. Also didn't Toronto hire his dad and some other family member onto their staff?

Don't know how much credibility it holds

Well clearly NHL didnt advise them well enough on howbto keep corrado off waivers? Or maybe they did and hooked up the leafs

6o4__boi 03-30-2016 07:33 AM

Brandon Tanev signs with the Jets

Keith to have in-person hearing tba

Virtanen to have in-phone hearing today

Jmac 03-30-2016 08:37 AM

Would anyone be shocked if Keith gets the rest of the regular season off, no playoff games, and heads into the playoffs with some R & R courtesy of the NHL Department of Player Safety?

By the way, if you haven't been reading through the NHL's unsealed e-mails that were publicized online recently, you're missing out. Some real gems, especially from Colin Campbell. Will make you lose a whole lot of respect for the people who run the league (except a few).
