Yeah, I'm all for tanking but I can't watch this shit...that game was just unwatchable. I quit after a few into the 2nd.

that's what happens when everyone calls for younger players and get rid of the vets :troll: we just dont have the firepower ... we're going to need a few years of top 3 picks which personally i rather we draft F with lots of talent to score, because as much as we lack a #1 D stud, we lack a #1 scoring machine lol

If we draft Mathews he will be our stud number one centre for years...imagine once the twins are gone we have Mathews, boho, McCann, sutter that's not a bad bunch of centres

If we draft Matthews I think it would be smart to trade mccann for a dman since we have no man centres now.

McCan has shown he has a nice soft touch, and when he scored in my opinion showed potential to be a goal scorer.

He should be given time to develop and maybe try and put him on the wing.

Mccan has alot of potential and is still young! but yeah we will be set at centre if we do indeed get mathews I would take serious look at trading mccan for a dman for sure!

McCann's biggest issue is his lack of size/strength.
In the next 2 years we will see if he is able to bulk up and fill out a bit.
If he isn't able to, then he'll easily be pushed off pucks in the draw or along the boards and not able to fight his was against top D pairs to get to the scoring areas.
Right now, he is having a tough time against 3rd and 4th line C and third pair D's.
But the potential is there.

But to be fair shutting out anyone even a garbage team ain't easy and to do it against 2 garbage teams is even harder. not hard for even a shit team to either score 1 goal either by skill, hard work, o rather just plain luck u less you the Nucks

May as well say Matthews is Gretzky with comparisons like those ... Ovi was widely considered to be a generational talent prior to his draft. Literally no one with credibility is saying that about Laine.
