^ Tesla should package it to Asian drivers in Richmond ... not an option but as required.

I've been testing it and it's little bit jank sometimes, I'm still sus about it turning cuz it crosses lines. And it's happened a few times. And it likes to stick to the right most lanes and sometimes it goes into right lanes where you have to merge left as it ends and it doesn't know to do that early and it just changes into the left lane at last minute without signal. Also the random speed change is annoying. It randomly drops
Down to 30 km in city streets and I always have to crank it back up.

Vancouver side streets are all 30km/h now, that may be the reason why as it figures some times it should be doing 30 and sometimes it needs to follow traffic and it gets confused.

You can change the offset so it goes faster than posted speed. Either by percent or by KM/H.

Bc banning all level 3 assisted driving

That means teslas self driving tech. Weird… it seems contrary to our freedoms to prevent people from using these systems.

tegra7 04-16-2024 04:20 PM

Tesla fsd is level 2 I believe

radeonboy 04-16-2024 04:26 PM

It's just the government taking a proactive approach to prevent Level 3 autonomous cars from appearing on the road without provincial vetting. Level 3 cars authorized by the government can still operate.

From their News Release: https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2024MOTI0046-000476
Quote:

Framework for automated vehicles:
Regulations bring into force a prohibition against operation of fully automated self-driving vehicles unless provincially authorized.

It's still 50 right now unless otherwise posted.

They're looking into implementing 30. It hasn't happened yet.

SSM_DC5 04-19-2024 08:30 AM

Was it hobz that drove it?
Wheels sitting pretty flush with the fenders from factory. Nice.

Badhobz 04-19-2024 08:36 AM

wasnt me! but after dark told me the price i was like uhhhh KEKW

68style 04-19-2024 08:37 AM

But Jason C just blew his load all over it on his most recent Podcast...

radeonboy 04-19-2024 09:27 AM

It wasn't just Jason spewing excitement over the car - Matt Farah from Smoking Tire also described it as being the most fun EV he's driven. It was very high praise for someone that doesn't sugarcoat his opinions on cars he tries (at least in his podcast).

GLOW 04-19-2024 09:34 AM

where's the burnout marks on the floor? :troll:

JDMDreams 04-19-2024 09:53 AM

Hobz should trade in his blue Corolla for this, factory matte blue:troll::joy:

Badhobz 04-19-2024 02:35 PM

I do like it, i just dont think its worth the premium over the regular Ionic 5.

Plus the interior pretty low rent. i sat in it and wasnt impressed with the seats or the interior quality. lots of hard plastics everywhere and the middle console looks like a cooler box or a cassette toilet.

Its kinda like a huge ass hot hatch, but at 90k its not cheap and im pretty sure it'll eat tires faster my ass eats krispy kreme doughnuts. Still not sure who this car is marketed towards.

JDMDreams 04-19-2024 03:04 PM

Well it is a Hyundai, not even Honda

spacemanrick 04-20-2024 05:10 PM

I went with a friend to test drive that last week at Lougheed Hyundai and came away very impressed! The simulated sounds and power on that are awesome!

Tesla drops FSD price to 11k cad.

It's still too expensive. You could pay the $99 / month rate for 9 years and still pay less than $11k.

How did it compare to your m3p?

Electric ricer! I guess that will be the new term. Simulated engine sounds, and shifting software to pretend you are in a manual ICE car. And I thought putting a fake intercooler and a BOV that makes a "psssh" sound every time I shift in my civic back in the day was bad. LOL

MG1 04-23-2024 10:16 AM

Finally, BC Hydro changing over to kWH pricing. Perfect for cars with smaller batteries. Plug in hybrid vehicles would benefit as well. Being charged by time sucks monkey balls.

Either beginning of May or June. I love fast charging in the US, where it’s pay by amount of electricity delivered to car, rather than $$$/minute.

tegra7 04-23-2024 10:47 AM

New Model 3 Performance will do 0-60 in 2.9sec old one was 3.1.
