And if I didn’t make it clear, I see the same thing with lefties. They focus so hard to shape the society, that they lose focus on what’s important.

A lot of complains saying people aren’t doing enough, when by introducing more and more regulations, they just successfully segregate the society. Riches are always going to be rich, and poor, poorer because they become so dependent off the system.

In my opinion, focus one problem at the time. Remove barriers or offer assistance, but always with the idea that they have the opportunity to succeed themselves.

Never handouts. Just provide ways for those who need that extra push to succeed

TBH other than the rubicon I can't tell the difference between Wrangler trims

I rented a "SAHARA" at SFO with Bridgestone Alenzas, which IMO sucked more - the steering twitched a ton & the car skipped over the road a ton.

IMO the Rubicon/Willys I have rn with the Destinations MTs / KO2s almost drive better cuz everything's just vague and squishy

All trims drive fine in a corner with a bit of trail braking to help

Talking about wrangler and rubicons, I’m seeing a lot of plug in hybrid ones around my area. How are they when comparing to the OGs ? If they are any decent, I might ask my BIL to pick one as he started getting into dirt biking and off roading

Something small to tow bikes and ride

underscore 05-16-2024 03:24 PM

iirc pretty much just odds and ends, the only significant thing is if it has lockers or not.

Last I heard most owners aren't very happy with their 4XEs but they may have improved. Electronics quality was Jeeps weak point to begin with so adding more seems risky.

Heard the 4XE is really problematic for some people - I only drive em as rentals.

They're just dirt cheap in the states with $300 leases. Pretty powerful (370/470lbft in 4AUTO)

Strategic Vision’s data, published by the Wall Street Journal, found that just 15pc of Tesla buyers were Democrats in October, compared to 39pc across 2022.

The percentage identifying as Republicans was 32pc, while 44pc said they were independents.

Tesla recently reported its first drop in car sales in four years and on Tuesday night it said revenues had fallen by 9pc in the first quarter of the year, its biggest drop since 2012.

Musk has turned his back on the people that supported him. I have Cybertruck pre order but he is giving me the yuck. He moved his headquarters to Texas a state you can't by a Tesla in. Texas does not allow direct sales of cars. So you can go to a Tesla show room and look at one but have to order on online off the property. The car is shipped to you from another state. Obama and the dems gave Tesla a ton of money and all he does is criticize them. For some reason he supports people that think EV's are some type of scam.

Tesla's sales are going to continue to drop because he does not respect his customers. I think he knows Tesla is on a decline and that's why he is trying so hard for a 56 billion dollar pay package.

I don't own a Tesla but many people in my family do. I am a pretty early reservation holder for the cybertruck. Maybe I will be able to flip it and buy a Chevy silverado EV.
It has a massive battery. Could run a house for 7 or 8 days.

Badhobz 05-16-2024 08:52 PM

Just get that hummer EV man. I know you want to.

Just don’t crash into anyone as 9000lbs vs 3500lb car equates into you pancaking them to death

The Ioniq 5 N sold lol... damn...

The guy saw it, asked for the key, sat in it for about 30 seconds, said he will take it... cash

Later on by his name, my manager recognize the name... went up to say hi... confirmed his identity.

We were all gossipy and the only thing we heard was he is "the" Porsche customer in Vancouver, 1st to get CGT, 1st to get 918 and everything in between.

He was here to get his first service done on his 911 Darkar, walked next door, and saw the Ioniq 5 N and was like... this looks so cool, I can see why there is such a big buzz around the car... and bought it...

lolol man.... puts my RR owner who got the Tucson from me to shame~

You baller! Last week I stood around for whole minutes hovering over the grocery store milk, humming and hawing over what to get.

"Ohh but the bagged version of the milk is 50c cheaper"... "but it's in bags; that's fucked up!"

JDMDreams 05-17-2024 06:32 AM

At that level and you still have to take your own damn beetle in for service? Just buy the dealership and get someone to do it for you.

Hondaracer 05-17-2024 10:02 AM

If Tesla was to somehow fold, which I don’t think could happen at this point, but that would be such an incredible blow to the whole “electrification” movement we are seeing currently and would leave the govt. at all levels looking like complete fools

Let’s be honest, Tesla was the driver of the entire thing as it showed EV’s could be viable beyond the garbage leaf etc. on top of that what other manufacturers build their own charging infrastructure?

It would set the entire thing back 10-20 years

Dude~ You've been away from Canada for too long! Bagged milk is one of the few legacies that defined the olde Canada that I knew and grew up in. I think it has entirely disappeared in Vancouver, and possibly in all of BC/AB as well.

Relish it while you still can!

bcrdukes 05-17-2024 10:11 AM

I've been living in Toronto for what, what past 7 years? I'm still trying to get used to it.

Everytime I head down to Buffalo, NY, I always come back with a jug of milk to maintain a level of sanity.

RabidRat 05-17-2024 11:26 AM

The other thing that tickled me, after 9 years away, Canadian Tire has an app now.

You mean to tell me, I don't have to keep track of wads of paper C-Tire money anymore?! This changes everything.

underscore 05-17-2024 11:29 AM

Their website and online ordering process is complete garbage though.

JDMDreams 05-17-2024 11:34 AM

^^^ it's not that bad, at least I can order their sale items and pick up to reserve it, unlike shitty home Depot that says stock is getting low, which apparently means no stock, and I still can't order online after calling the store to confirm in stock inventory to make sure I can get it.

JDMDreams 05-17-2024 11:36 AM

Yes, literally all other manufacturers did jack shit, gov did jack shit. Where's the public chargers, where's the laws to force chargers being built into new builds. Where's the hydrogen stations.

I'm proud of you, went from an Elon evangelical, to a sceptic.

Now if only Hehe would pull his cock from his mouth.

Maybe as he continues to watch his TSLA stock portfolio to fold he'll change his mindset :lol

Was looking at parking in DT Vancouver since I spend a lot of my weekends there:

Wrangler gets 13L/100km, normally costs $10 to drive 40km
Full charge gets 40km or so range
Most chargers in DT Van are free
so if the parking is less than $10, it was free cuz I no longer need to spend the $10 in gas after

that's crazy

I'm seeing 17kWh battery capacity for the 4xe and Level 2 chargers usually cap out at 6kWh, so you'll need to spend ~3 hours at the charger to get 40km back. Where can you find 3-hour parking <$10 in downtown that also has free chargers?

Most weekend parking (incl robson law court) usually around $6 for 6AM-6PM

edit:
925 W Georgia St and 1055 W Georgia probably going to be the spot.
4 hours of free charging, $7.50 or $10 to park
