I really like what Hyundai has been doing except that, with the exception of the Ioniq5, they are all fucking ugly cars. My wife won't consider any Hyundais (except the Ioniq5) b/c she finds all of them repulsive (to varying degrees).
OTOH, the Telluride and EV9 look pretty good.
They aren't my style but I do appreciate that they're at least doing something to make their vehicles look interesting, and they're making them all unique. I hate when a brand decides to force all their vehicles to have the same styling feature. Partly because it's weird seeing them all look the same, and partly because when it's something ugly it ruins an entire brand of vehicles.
I'm looking at you, BMW and Lexus.

Yea but also the thing with the Koreans is they have no flow, they just make random designs that's 100% different from the last one to see if shit sticks, therefore there's no continuation or brand image.
It's like they didn't design it to last but just to push a car out.

That's a good thing imo. I hate brands with a lineup of vehicles that all look the same. Even worse when they force a styling feature onto a vehicle for the sake of "brand image" and it doesn't fit at all. Like BMW putting the kidney grilles on the E31 or Dodge forcing their stupid + grille onto everything.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now the Nurburgring’s fastest electric production car. The cars price starts at 73k USD in China. That's 1527 HP for less than 100k CAD. On the track it hits a top speed of 214 MPH. I could see a market for this in North America even with 100% tariffs.
The previous record holder the Rimac Nevera that costs over 2 mill.

The Kia PV5, an all-electric van, is expected to be available in Canada in early 2026. While the first PV5 deliveries are planned for the UK in late 2025, the Canadian rollout will follow in 2026. Pre-orders are anticipated to open in late 2025 or early 2026. The PV5 is part of Kia's commercial and electric expansion plans for Canada.
The interior of this PV5 looks pretty spartan. I wish it would have pivoting seats / a table / and just more alphard royal lounge stuff. Instead it looks like a dodge caravan inside.

Are the Rivian/Amazon delivery vans starting to make it into Canada? EV local delivery vehicles seem like a no brainer market to tackle for more companies - they don't need more than 200 miles of range and EV packaging is ideal for them.

Most fleets be buying Transit EVs since they already know how to work with them. Racks, mounts, etc all fit and the EVs don’t eat brakes like ICE transits… just tires.
Brightdrpp and Rivian Van sales are tiny - no service support, unknown parts waits, etc.
Seems like a good deal for what you're getting - standard brembos, torque vectoring rear diff, dual chamber active air suspension, etc. But rampant software / electronics issues seem to continue and it's been out a while.

I'm surprised the software / electronics issues are rampant bcos the Polestar 2 didn't seem to have too many problems in those areas. At least, from the PS2 owners groups that I subscribe to, most PS2 owners seem really happy with their cars, and there aren't too many reports of problems of this nature.

I’ve had my polestar 3 for 2.5 months and it’s been in the shop for at least 30 days. Software is completely unreliable. I’ve been locked out of my car due to key failures, my phone won’t connect, there are random sensors that are failing constantly. These cars are lemons and the customer support is horrible. Nobody should ever buy a polestar until all these issues are resolved. I’m actively trying to return my car through lemon laws.
...but it looks so good! Got kind of that lifted wagon look.
