At least if you are going to come into a forum and advertise your services, make yourself valuable, not just a product pusher. |
I think Shaw is a joke as far as their retention goes. I was under the student plan because of wife's status, when it came to an end, we inquired about any deal. They flat out refused to do anything and just said we should start paying more than double the promo price even when I said I'd switch since the regular price is ridiculous. Then I switched to Lightspeed and when I called Shaw to cancel the account, they came up with all sort of excuse saying that we shouldn't be with the smaller guys and they were willing to work on a deal. I just told the guy to let their manager knows that they should do this earlier and not play the tough guy just trying to milk me for a few months (I mentioned I was going away and would disconnect it for a few months) and I would simply continue using LS because they lost me forever when they didn't even bother to keep me as customer. |
The only decent deal I ever got from Shaw was $5/mo HDTV for 6 months in 2014. Was like a random Christmas promo or something. |
I stopped being a Shaw tv and internet customer after they kept increasing the price of the services every 3 months or so. The deals they give is a joke and is only for 6 months. Maybe they need to stop paying their employees so much because it seems like most of them is always on vacations. But as a shareholder they are awesome. The monthly dividends they give me, I use it to pay for my internet with LightSpeed  |
Does Telus have any great offers for new customers at the moment? Shaw promo ended :( |
My Shaw promo is over in a week and I'm looking at what's new aswell. Come July I'll pay the full price, yet they've already put on a $15 discount yet that doesn't really make much of a difference.. The "SkinnyTV" isn't really much of anything too spectacular either, sooo any suggestions? Currently with Shaw, Popular TV & Internet 30. Living in New West. |

I saw Telus running cable a few weeks ago in my back alley. Does anyone use Telus Fibre and can comment on their pricing? Their site is pretty elusive on giving pricing details. |
call Telus and ask |
50Mbps/10, Broadband standalone is $83 ($78 bundle) 100Mbps/20, Fibre standalone is $93 ($88 bundle) 150 Mbps/30, Fibre $125/month?? Quote:

There's a new internet reseller (Surf Internet) that just started not too long ago. Redflagdeals has a pretty good thread going on about it [Surf Internet] BC Lower Mainland: TV/Internet15/Phone: $38/month no contract?? - RedFlagDeals.com Forums |

Suntel as well. https://urbanfibre.ca/buildings/ For those that are fortunate enough to live in an apartment in the lower mainland, there is urbanfibre. |
I am about to renew my internet as my honeymoon period (1st year introduction is free) is about to end. I am resided in townhouse complex in Delta. Telus and Shaw knocked at my door asking for $70 for a 15M plan. Any plan that is well below $40 as I stream a bit and rarely torrent, so capacity under 150GB is fine. Would like to see what my option is. |
Telus installed fibre in my building 2 weeks ago and they're still telling me it's not available in my area. :fuuuuu: We get a 30% employee discount through Telus (but not Shaw, current provider) and Telus offers the usual bundle discounts, so I'd love to switch my TV and internet over to Telus. http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...64/200/acb.jpg |
CIK telecom 30Mbps CableExpress Unlimited usage 44.99/mo online or 39.95/mo if you come into the store most Chinese families in Vancouver are using this. Its the best deal |
-just had to door to door sales to reps from Telus who were trying to sell me this phone/TV/Internet package. 55 bucks per month for the first 6 months. Then the monthly fee goes up to 85 bucks per month. Apparently, a $300 prepaid credit card is included along with a free laptop. :suspicious: I told them to put their brochures through my mail slot. -gonna call Telus right now to check if this is a scam. the best "deal" i ever felt like i got from Shaw was they "doubled" my internet speed for an extra $10 a month about 8 months ago, no contract etc. went from broad band 30, to some sort of BB65 package (so slightly more than double) and speeds actually reflect what they advertise. Currently have the shaw "Basic" TV with sports packages cause i wanted to watch horse racing and NHL playoffs and it's an absolute joke, $44 a month for basically SNET and TSN, dont get much else with it. will be cancelling TV after the olympics |
Buddy with Shaw hooked up a sweet deal: $30/mo 60mbps 450gb limitfor 6 months. I added a $10 landline. $40+tax for fast internet and phone is a steal. Switched from telus optik. |
Cancelled my TV service today. Running unlimited internet with Android TV boxes w/Kodi and paid IPTV service. Over 500+ live TV channels, with VOD TV shows and movies. $13/month. Money well spent. |

Saw this on RFD today. Seems like a good deal since this is pretty much what I pay for Internet 30 outside of the promo period. I think this is what guurl is referring to? I may look into this since it'll be a huge jump in speed for not a whole lot of additional cost. Upgrade To Shaw WideOpen Internet | 150 Mbps Speeds, High Speed Internet + 1TB Data |
That's not bad at all and seems like a decent price for TV as well, I wonder if I would get that deal being a new customer. |

They're the only IPTV providers that I can find that have the Fairchild Canto channels which is really the only TV the family watches anyways. |
