They've been hating on da Chinese for the last 100 years, they just didn't know their browner poorer neighbors were worst. They were complaining that Chinese buy all their houses, but they never took their jobs, now their jobs gets taken too by someone who doesn't speak English :lawl::joy: Quote:

Chinese immigration was -nothing- like the Indian migration to Canada for sham colleges. This Indian migration has literally destroyed Canada for the next decade in terms of rents and housing and all the problems that compounds. |
Yea when was the last time you heard a monk got sniped or there was a fight at a temple. And they thought money laundry was bad. |

Cuz you'd need to go back 30+ years for policy makers to make it more difficult to buy property in Canada, especially for foreign investment, to control what ended up being the late 1990's until today where every property value went up about 10x. Exacerbated an existing issue? Yes.. but caused? No. |

Just wait till we get to the Nigerian immigration wave of the 2030s once we scare off all the Indians :joy: |

"For every immigrant who bought a house; that grandma / mother / father, walked away with 3X the amount when they first purchased back in the late 90s; that family PAID off .... a) their kids student loans b) paid for their kids wedding c) paid for the down payment for the kids when they bought a place d) financially stable and travels the world every year." Like you said, NO one ever said a thing about the bags load of money they left with. Our 1st home, 400k house bought 1989, now, the lot is worth 1.80 million dollar (if we haven't sold in Richmond). Poeple STFU pretty quick when they THEMSELVES got money from any of those situations above. |

It's a bit of a stretch to blame Indian students for our rent and housing woes. The real issue started over a decade ago, when money from overseas poured into Canadian real estate with little regulation or oversight. And lets not forget the role of boomers, many of whom have leveraged home equity to purchase investment properties, contributing to rising property values and limited supply. |
Anyway, I find it pretty funny how people who spent the last 4 years denying the outcome of the 2020 election have accepted the 2024 election results in about 4 days. |
^^ it didn't even take 4 days, it was by 11 pm. They literally found out faster than bc election. This was one of the most efficient elections I've seen. Like she lost from the start. Considering even during the morning of the election they were saying they were both 50 50 on surveys, and it was too close to call. Some states were Kamala ahead of Trump. :fulloffuck: I guess white people can't math, and the election wasn't rigged this time around somehow and votes are fake, dead people mailed in their votes. |

When I posted my basement suite 5 months ago, 1/4 of my enquires were Indian men asking if a 1br suite was suitable for 2-3 other room mates. If you can rent literal squalor to people to live in, an acceptable place becomes out of reach for many. |

If shit gets real bad I think I’ll move to dong kong.or Macau. I can get used to living here. Just that my social score will be very low cuz I keep fingering people who honk at me crossing the street and tripping old ladies on the ding ding. But they don’t say shit to me. I trip the ah mo and they have this confused look on them. |

Oh man we lost Gretzky lol https://i.imgur.com/77uGbDZ.png Just in case; Yes, I know, he's a conservative minded dude. He has been forever. I have absolutely no problem with that. There's a huge difference between being conservative, voting that Republican pre-2016, and going full MAGA/Trumpist. |

There is a big difference now though. Back then most people could have owned a house to sell. Now many don't so when prices go up the owners still pack their bags with cash and move out and the rest just get left behind. That's why people are upset. The 'rest' are almost all of the millennials and younger. That cohort is WAY larger than the boomers/X who couldn't get a slice of land. |

Who's the fuckin dweeb on the left? Everyone in suits and gowns and he's in his PJ's with no shoes on? He's wearing Gretzky sweatpants is he related to him or something? edit: Apparently it's his son Trevor hahaha apple fell pretty fuckin far from that tree, buddy looks like a cartoon of every dork ever drawn come to life |
nothing trump has planned is good for canada.... at all. 99 supporting maga is kind of a slap in the face |
Here is my two cents about why I do not support a Trump administration. FYI, all four of my American cousins, their husbands, and my aunt and uncle living in Arizona and California vote for the Democrats. They fucking hate Trump! So why do they hate Trump and do not vote for Republicans? First, Trump's economic policies to strengthen the US economy and protect it from foreign interests make no sense from the standpoint of multiple economists. Trump wants to increase tariffs on imported goods. Here is a quote from Cheeto during his election campaign: On the campaign trail for the 2024 presidency, Donald Trump threatened a minimum 10 per cent global tariff on all imported products, memorably calling tariff the most beautiful word in the dictionary :lawl: Cheeto really thinks that the foreign countries will pay the tariff. He thinks that he is fighting unfair trade practices from Canada and China. Uh NO. 1) The American businesses who pay for a product made in China or Canada pay a higher price from the tariff to import a product into a country. 2) That may raise the prices which American businesses charge from consumers for products. 3) That may cause American consumers to buy fewer or less expensive products because they cannot to pay the higher prices of certain products. A tariff is a tax or levy imposed by the U.S. on foreign-made products imported into the country. The additional fee is paid by the business importing the item into the country, usually a company based in the U.S. These are basic economics concepts that a high school student taking an economic class would understand. Yet, Cheeto and many of his supporters do not understand this economic concept because A) they are too stupid to understand Economics and B) do not have the level of education to understand how tariffs work. My second point from me and my American cousins about why they hate Trump. Trump is a racist grandpa. He called COVID the "China Virus" and "Kung Flu" as a president. We all know know that he is a racist. Cheeto was quoted as saying that he is the "least racist" person that you ever know. Well, a "least racist" person is still a racist, right? FBI data about hate crimes shows that violence against minorities increased 20 PERCENT during the previous Trump presidency. My cousins tell me that during COVID, that white Americans and Latinos yelled racial slurs at them in 2020, 2021, etc. I cannot imagine their daily lives when my female cousins, and their teenage kids heard the racial slurs of "China Virus!" "chink" on an almost daily basis in Tucson, Phoenix, Arizona, and San Jose, California during the pandemic. Guess what, more Americans are emboldened to show their racist side when the president is also a racist. https://www.newsweek.com/hate-crimes...report-1547870 The lives of my extended family members would be worse under a Trump presidency compared to a presidency under the Democrats. |
Gretz is also Ukrainian. Guess he figures Trump will end the war hehe That or he doesn’t really care |
