With Elon becoming 1/2 of this Efficiency Czar, is he still going to keep working as the CEO for his various companies?

Under normal circumstances, I'd assume that people in this sort of position would want to avoid raising conflict of interest allegations, and would suspend their leadership roles in whatever private companies they work in. But this is Elon we are talking about, so I really don't know what to expect.

I just know that if I were a Tesla shareholder, I'd be pissed about how Elon has just got approval for a massive pay package recently, but is now heading off somewhere else to "lead and direct". (Or maybe they'd really prefer that since it'd make their work more predictable?)

Tesla shareholders should be happy if he's conflict of interesting his days away in the government, he can basically clear his own path for tech approvals and lord knows what else.

It's the other manufacturers of competitor products that should be extremely concerned and interested in this nonsense.

There's more - Trump promised to cut taxes on Overtime.

What people didn't realize/care to find out is they're changing the definition of OT, from +40hours/week to +160hours/month.

So if you work 75 hours for 2 weeks, then don't work for 2, you don't get any overtime pay, because now it's not OT anymore. But hey! No taxes!

The 160 hrs/month change is a Project 2025 proposal, and at least on the surface, Trump has tried to distance himself from it. I do not believe him, but that's what he has done.

The proposal also did not explicitly call for a change. Instead, it called for "flexibility" in determining how OT is calculated. Companies and their employees should be free to calculate working hours across either 14 or 28 days instead of just 7.

Obviously I think this is BS. BC's rule is over 8 hours a day, or over 40 hours a week becomes overtime work, and requires OT pay rates. Stretching it to 2 or 4 weeks is a ripoff to the employees.
