Months ago the owner of Montana knife company was saying if you don't want to pay tariffs just buy American. Now he is complaining about tariffs because the equipment and steel he buys is being hit by tariffs. Even machines made in the USA.

Trump outs Sydney as MAGA (If you're a Republican in 2025 that's a given) but couldn't spell her name correctly :toot:. What do you Sweeney Simps think of her now? FeelsGoodMan

Haha he just absolutely fucked her career.
And yeah Taylor is really struggling since people found out she’s “woke”
She’s still hot and I still like seeing her tits. I don’t think we will be dating regardless of her being an idiot lol.

whitev70r 08-04-2025 07:06 PM

Whoever is the campaign manager at AE just got a huge promotion or offered her own PR company (don't know why but almost always a her when it comes to PR). Lots of buzz, exactly what you want, love it or hate it, doesn't matter.

One of the people behind the Trump Burger restaurants in Flatonia and Kemah might get his green card revoked, according to documents obtained by the Record this week.

Roland Beainy, who reportedly grew up in Lebanon and moved to the United States in 2019, alleges in a lawsuit that he owns 50 percent of the business Trump Burger LLC. Beainy filed the suit in Fayette County on April 16 against Iyad Abuelhawa, also known as Eddie Hawa. Hawa started the original Trump Burger restaurant in Bellville.

Furthermore, the notice stated that, “We have been notified that Roland Beainy is currently detained by ICE and his green card has been revoked. He is no longer recognized as a leaseholder or authorized representative of Trump Burger Kemah LLC.”

Literally one of the richest celebrities is put on blast by Trump in that same tweet for being anti-MAGA.

More tariff threats from Cheeto.

A 50 percent tariff on India if India continues to import Russian oil.

Over a billion Indians are going to be more angry at Orange Turd haha.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/06/polit...mp-russian-oil

President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced sweeping and substantial tariffs on India, one of America’s most important trading partners. In addition to a 25% tariff that is set to go into effect Thursday, Trump also announced an additional 25% tariff on India that will go into effect later this month as punishment for importing Russian oil and gas.

Those combined penalties would bring the total tariff on goods imported from the world’s fifth-largest economy to a whopping 50% – among the highest the US charges.

The latest executive order, according to a document posted on the White House website, represents an escalation of his trade battle with New Delhi and his first use of so-called secondary sanctions on countries the US says are fueling Moscow’s war machine.

Traum 08-06-2025 08:35 AM

While I am not sure how effective this India tariff will be, on principal, I'd have to say it is a good thing. Russia is still relying on its petrolum sales to fund its war efforts, so any attempt to choke that off would be a good thing.

For that matter, the US-EU deal in terms of the EU buying more US LNG is also a good thing. AFAIK, although most EU countries are no longer buying Russia oil, they are still buying record amounts of LNG. (I believe the volume of LNG purchased from Russia actually increased after the war started.) That is just about the stupidest thing I can imagine, bcos on one hand, Europe is funding Ukraine to fight Russia, but on the other hand, it is also giving money to Russia to fund its war efforts. FailFish

I am actually kind of disappointed that Trump didn't threaten EU over their continual record purchases of Russian LNG.

Manic! 08-06-2025 10:29 AM

Looks like the US boycott may be working. Got a call this morning from a US company I bought a freezer from for our store about 8 years ago. The person talked about tariffs and how they are doing no business with Canada right now and they are hopping to do business with us after the tariff situation is resolved.

Also got this email from them after:

Quote:

Thank you for taking the time with me to discuss the possibility of doing business once the tariffs situation is resolved. I have attached some information as to just a few things that we can supply.

All my contact information is below.

I look forward to working with you in the future.

is there enough supply elsewhere to keep europe warm next winter if they stopped all russian gas purchases?

don't support russia at all but it's a valid question

maybe if we had more pipelines to get our gas to europe we'd be better off....

^I was thinking the same, hard to blame the EU if there isn't another viable option.

Even if there was, if it costs more, do you think that's a reasonable burden to impose in terms of cost on the general populace? "Your heating costs are now going up 30% because we need to pivot to buying from Norway".

That would be political suicide.

Bet none of you had "Two 15 years old beat up Big Balls" as a headline on your bingo card this year. And definitely not a headline on a political website.

Quote:

Two 15-year-olds arrested in connection with DOGE staffer ‘Big Balls’ beating in DC

Two teenagers were arrested in connection to the attempted carjacking of a former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer known as “Big Balls.”
Authorities said the 15-year-old suspects, who were charged with unarmed carjacking, were among several teens who allegedly approached the victim, Edward Coristine, and a woman police identified as his significant other near a car around 3 a.m. EDT Sunday in Washington’s Logan Circle neighborhood.

The group allegedly made comments about taking the car, before Coristine pushed his significant other into the vehicle for safety and prepared to confront the group, according to police.

Law enforcement officials said Coristine turned to face the teenagers, and several of them attacked him until police patrolling the area intervened. The group fled on foot when police approached, authorities said.

Coristine, a 19-year-old software engineer, was among the most visible figures associated with President Trump’s DOGE effort, aimed at slashing government spending and eliminating waste in the federal bureaucracy.

...

The attack has given new fuel to the president, who has frequently threatened to take control of the nation’s capital throughout his second term.

Trump on Tuesday called for the District of Columbia to change its laws to allow for teenagers 14 and older to be prosecuted as adults and face lengthy prison sentences.
He shared on Truth Social a graphic image of the bloodied former DOGE employee, but did not name Coristine, and included a lengthy message attacking violent crime in Washington. Trump blamed the city’s crime on local “youths,” who he said were not fearful of consequences.

“They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because they know nothing ever happens to them, but it’s going to happen now!” the president wrote. “The Law in D.C. must be changed to prosecute these ‘minors’ as adults, and lock them up for a long time, starting at age 14. The most recent victim was beaten mercilessly by local thugs.”

Over the last several years, US has become EU's biggest supplier of LNG, accounting for almost 50% of their overall supply. I'm also under the impression that the US is able to provide additional supply if there is enough demand for it. And if we (ie. Canada) are smart, we can join in on this party as well to ship some Alberta LNG over to Europe as well. So supply-wise, it shouldn't be a problem.

Cost-wise, it'd probably be somewhat more expensive for Europe to buy LNG from N.America than it is to just pipe it in from Russia. But the biggest problem with buying Russian LNG is -- EU is giving money to Russia, and that money will in turn be used to fund the Russian war effort. To me, that kind of sounds like someone who continues to have an unhealthy / high cholestrol diet while taking cholestrol control medication. So if they avoid buying Russian LNG in the first place, wouldn't they be able to spend less on sending weapons to Ukraine? or continue to send the same amount of weapons to Ukraine so that they can start pushing Russian forces back?

Gosh... what a cesspool social media platform this is... The ads are presented in a way to create maximum inconvenience and get in the way of normal scrolling with a nearly 1:1 ratio between posts and ads. FailFish

How do people even navigate the site?

At any rate, this is the post. Not pretty, that's for sure...

Vegas is dead.

Presto 08-06-2025 03:38 PM

Screw Vegas. It used to be a cheap, fun vacation. Rising costs of everything including bullshit resort fees have made people look at better places to go for the same price.

Manic! 08-06-2025 03:43 PM

I remember when I would see ads in the paper for a Vegas round trip for $99 from van. The catch was the return flight was 24 hours later.

whitev70r 08-06-2025 04:48 PM

So am I hearing this right? Trump wants to redraw the congressional map in Texas (a Rep stronghold state) to add 5 seats before next midterm elections so that they have a better chance of keeping the majority? Is this democracy at its best or what ??!!

!LittleDragon 08-06-2025 05:42 PM

Used to go to Vegas 2-3 times a year. It used to be either a weekend in Victoria or 3-4 nights in Vegas. Parking and valet was free, they went out of their way to make everyone feel rich. Now you have to be rich to go there as they nickel and dime you on everything.

Vegas did this to themselves, it's not a political thing.
