Make America White Again, oops I mean Great Again.

And the thing about H1B visas is that, yes, there was abuse, but the vast majority of recipients were highly skilled immigrants, basically the cream of the crop. Now with this $100k wrench being thrown in which I have no doubt is the work of Stephen Miller and also an FU to India for buying Russian oil, there will likely be a brain drain.

A friend that went into consulting (and worked for Deloitte) initially found out that he was paid noticeable less than his US colleagues, but he was soon able to negotiate for a proper wage because he was so good at what he did.

So based on the observations that I have seen on my own (on a personal level), the below median wage for the job thing seems to occur in 1 case out of 11 o 13? That's a far cry from the 60% that this EPI is saying.
Bro, the data from the DHS says otherwise. 85% of the H1-B petitions went to the two lowest wage tiers(using data from FYs 2019-2020).

The flaw with the H1-B program is that employers don't need to prove they are facing a labour shortage to hire for H1-B. Employers that are dependent on H1-B are supposed to first consider US workers but they can go around this by hiring a H1-B worker at a salary of $60k, as long as they hold a master degree. Furthermore, since H1-B is controlled by the employer, it doesn't allow for job mobility and makes them completely reliant on the whims of their employer. Want to speak out about being underpaid? Kiss your H1-B goodbye.

The big tech companies will have to put that into their budget and they will be the ones paying for it if they want to hire these geniuses from abroad. No individual will be able to pay that $100K/yr ... it will all be negotiated in the salary. Big 5 companies will have to consider this when headhunting abroad.

but you're against H1Bs undercutting workers in the US?

Bro-magnon, I think most of us who have lived in Canada most of our lives have volunteered at the food bank at one point in time. Tell me when you're in the DTES feeding people.

I am beginning to think you have insufficient critical facilities because i have never said anything like that before. I support the H1-B Visa being overhauled to prevent workers from being exploited. Idk what you are going on about in your first paragraph because I never said such a thing, bro.

Cheers,

VLAD, or postal code, is an enigma.

Is apparently a woman that weighs 180lbs, works in economics (I think? Or whatever suits the argument at the time), writes like a teenage edgelord, loves drill rap but volunteers at the food bank, what else am I missing

Don't waste your time.

I sold my CoBRO earlier this year to fund the Supra. Sad times.

p.s. I don't work in economics either.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/20/polit...ion-closed-nyt

Tom Homan, now the president’s border czar, was recorded last year accepting a bag with $50,000 in cash by undercover FBI agents in an investigation the Trump Justice Department later closed, The New York Times reported Saturday.

The September 2024 payment arose from a probe that was not targeting Homan, The Times reported, citing people familiar with the case. Homan was investigated for potential bribery and other crimes after he agreed to help the undercover agents, posing as businessmen, secure government contracts in a second Trump administration, the report says.

A person familiar with the matter told CNN that Homan accepted a cash payment in a sting operation.

The cash was inside a bag from the fast-casual chain Cava, The Times reported. MSNBC first reported on the investigation.

The DOJ shut down the case after Trump began his second term this year, over doubts prosecutors could prove Homan — who served as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the president’s first term — had agreed to a specific act in exchange for the cash and because he was not in a government position at the time.

FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the matter, which originated under the Biden administration, was subject to a full review by officials with the FBI and DOJ, who “found no credible evidence of any criminal wrongdoing.”

Damn bro, he secured the bag literally.

Was he a government official when he accepted the cash?

100 percent. Homan was a government official at the time he took the 50 grand in cash as a bribe. He was not the border czar for Trump at the time he took the 50 grand in cash from an undercover FBI agent.

That doesn't matter. A crime is a crime. It's not a crime when it happens to be Cheeto's employee and the FBI director Kash Patel closed the investigation.

Somewhat ironic. Kash closing an investigation about Homan accepting cash as a government official.

American health care professionals are fleeing the US for Canada.

https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2025HLTH0090-000915

Quote:
Increasing numbers of American health-care professionals are looking north as B.C. continues to break down barriers for U.S. health-care workers to practise here.

Since May 2025, the number of job applications received from U.S. health-care workers has doubled to more than 1,400 and more than 140 qualified U.S. doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and allied health professionals have accepted job offers. More are on the way.

So Tylenols parent company’s stock crumbles today. How much stock are trump and his lackeys picking up before some “new information” comes out and links it to ibuprofen instead of acetaminophen.

Man it is really fascinating how quickly these demons are moving their agenda forward, this entire administration is one big payola scheme from top to bottom.

Let me get this straight, Larry Ellison a devout pro-IDF conservative, now gets to own TikTok's algorithm, CBS, and potentially WB/CNN?

Media continues to consolidate under the rightwing ideologues.

Unfuckingbelievable.

The free press has already been dying, but the nail will soon be in its coffin.

Uzbekistan is buying over 22 thousand Boeing planes.

For that price I would buy 1 or 2.

$350K each? Bargain. $200 million MSRP.

Also, 22k planes is around the total number of commercial Boeing/Airbus planes in service worldwide.

Uzbekistan is buying 22 planes.

President Grandpa heard 22 767's and added the numbers together lol.
