I actually don’t believe the Pens. I think Murray’s issues are alcoholism not concussion... they just keep saying that’s the reason he’s out. 2 concussions just taking shots in practice? I know it does happen but come on... and the guys been a fucking mess / looking like one for 2 seasons now.

Reminds me of when I played house league and we had a goalie from Jamaica who had never even been on skates before. Sure we lost almost every game for the first 1/2 of the season, but his progression was amazing. His athleticism and agility was some of the best I had ever witnessed. The Mighty Ducks movie had come out at the same time so we drew a lot of parallels to it that season.

Honestly, I don't even see how it could only be two games given their repeated emphasis that this was not a hockey play that resulted in an injury. IMO, as soon as it's deemed not a hockey play and results in an injury, it should be an automatic 5+ games.

The whole first time offender thing is bullshit. It shouldn't be used to do the initial calculation on how many games someone is suspended it for. It should be used to multiply the amount of games someone is suspended for.

You're basically telling me that any hot head can intentionally take a run at the opposing team's best player when he doesn't even have the puck and basically get a slap on the wrist.

Good deal for Matheson, 2 game suspension trade for a probable career altering injury for Petterson off a non-hockey play. It is much easier to get a concussion after the first one, especially when he's so young. Look what happened with Crosby and Lindros and they aren't skinny guys like Petterson.

First time offender should only apply when there was absolutely no intent whatsoever. Matheson had every intent on getting back at Petterson after getting undressed like a fool
