30 minutes ago (11:00PM) on Fraser and 12th, my friend's 100% bone stock 4th gen Acura TL got a box 1. He was not speeding and was going 50 (gf in the car).

With (significantly?) less funding, it is inevitible that VPD will have to cut back their operations one way or another. However, officers require a huge amount of training (even though our favourite traffic officers here are obviously poorly / improperly trained) before they can go into active duty, so they are an expensive asset for the police force, and I really wouldn't expect the VPD to reduce headcount all that much despite the funding reductions . Or at least, I don't think it make sense for them to actively reduce officer head counts.

But hopefully they will reduce the amount of frivolous / non-essential services and operations. And if you ask me, having officers go out to issue N&O is a pretty low priority operation.

Just got a Box 2 VI and 3 fat citations for no muffler and tinted lights from the infamous Officer Cain. Obviously I'm guilty as can be since I actually have no mufflers or resonators on my car, but just throwing this out there as another VI for the records.

Superiors then ask the City for more funding because VPD is doing a lot of work, possible BS about lack of resources etc..VPD all gets a raise or more budget to hire more on the force
