A full NTC must still be protected, so for a modified NTC, what if his list of teams includes Seattle?

NTC doesn't have to be protected at all. It's only NMCs that need to be protected (thus why Lucic's contract is such a boat anchor and Eriksson's isn't as big of a boat anchor).

I'm a little choked that they didn't plan his retirement ceremony for a game where the Canucks were visiting. He's a franchise leader for both teams and had his best years in Vancouver.
