What were the all time lows for those wheels?

Currently they are $379 and $279 for the G923 and G29

GLOW 11-22-2024 03:14 PM

i thought i posted on the black friday thread lol

IIRC it was like $350 all in including the shifter for the g923 and about $100 cheaper with shift for g29/920

SkinnyPupp 11-22-2024 04:14 PM

You can look it up on camel. $250 is as low as has ever been for the G923

https://camelcamelcamel.com/product/...=search&tp=all

nabs 11-26-2024 03:23 PM

its a steal at that price. Considering the G29 still continues to sell at the 299-399 price point

TypeRNammer 12-04-2024 10:05 PM

For the folks asking for a deal on a Logitech wheel, I think this is decent, $279 for the G29 but this time with a shifter as per RFD

I wanna pick up a couple controllers to use with in-home streaming so I don't have to keep swapping around the pairing and PS4 controllers are still quite expensive. New they're the same as a PS5 controller on sale and used they aren't much cheaper. Used Xbox controllers are a lot cheaper but I know nothing about them. Are they not as good or what's the reason for it?

Klondike 12-11-2024 09:08 PM

Might want to consider 3rd party controllers. The quality isn't garbage like it used to be in the 90s and 00s. GameSir controllers on Amazon have hall effect joysticks which have 0 stick drift. They're only compatible with PC/Xbox though.

Not surprised Astro Bot for the PS5 took GOTY

Watching quick reviews on YouTube, looks like a fun platformer.

MarkyMark 12-14-2024 09:46 AM

Definitely gonna try out Astro Bot heard nothing but good things about it.

Not too sure about Naughty Dogs next game, I never really like games that take place in Space but I'm sure it'll be amazing anyways.

was looking at the logitech wheel while on GST holiday. looks like amazon adjusts GST properly, but logitech's website which is cheaper b/c of a code is including full tax unfortunately. it's still cheaper than amazon b/c of the code, but not sure if logitech cares or will be adjusting.

It's the same with Best Buy, they have adjusted it on their end.

Hopefully Logitech adjusts the GST soon

GLOW 12-20-2024 08:55 AM

i just bit the bullet, it's still cheaper than amazon even with no GST

now to keep an eye on a cheap foldable stand.

Don't go for a cheap stand, it will alter your experience greatly. Invest in something sturdy. with the cheaper ones the accessories and wheel base sometimes don't hold properly, or they wiggle too much. I would also suggest getting a VR2, so worth it just for GT7.

Hondaracer 12-20-2024 07:05 PM

Replaying fallout 4 on PS5 with some visual mods etc. what a great game and still looks amazing today. Some of the models are so defined and clear it looks like 3D on the TV

Picked up F4 and South Park severed but hole for $20 total some decent deals on right now for games that are typically $$$

i couldn't find/google a VR2, is it a stand that comes with a seat, or is it a standalone stand?

i prefer something that doesn't take up a lot of space and can easily move to the side/put away when need be, hence i thought a stand would work but notice when i hard brake my lawn chair moves a bit :lol

LOL I meant getting a PS VR2 headset along with a stand.

Read the reviews tho, i bought some cheap one off Amazon and it ended up being great.

nabs 01-06-2025 09:20 AM

Just a bit of an update on the PS5 pro. Its been stellar so far, the only gripe I have about it is that since installing the Disc Drive attachment (coincidentally) playing TLOU2 and other heavy games on Pro settings causes the fans to run on overdrive thru most of the playthrough. It sounds like a vaccuum. I play with Headphones so it doesn't bother me. But my wife notices and she's in the other room, with the base PS5 she never complained about any noise, or even before I installed the Disc Drive.

It's funny tho, because TLOU1 playthru on Pro has no overheating/fan noises, PS5 Pro was silent. But as soon as I started TLOU2 Remake/remastereed (whatever the newest one is) it started getting real loud.

oh, i have an xbox so no PS VR2 for me. but ya i have my eye on a couple of $115-ish stands that fold.

Is the Pro a big upgrade performance wise over the 5? my friend just got a ps5 for xmas and it got me thinking that will people even notice the upgrade speed/graphics/etc wise.

I'm a daily player, and it was a worthwhile upgrade for me, I would say get it if you can afford it. However, I have multiple friends who just play casually, don't really care about graphics, just there to play the games, they dont mess with graphics settings and play everything out of the box. They didn't care as much for it.

Literally haven't noticed a single difference with my PS5 Pro, then again I play boomer ass turn based RPGs which aren't very graphically intensive.

Planning to play Cyberpunk again with the DLC this time from start to finish to see what this damn thing does.

GLOW 01-08-2025 08:39 AM

in my old age i've gone pretty much daily casual gamer, i don't mess with settings, i just assume the programmers already have it set to most idea by default lol.

i used to play rpg/turn based but i don't have the time/patience anymore.

I was gonna start a brand new play through but then I fucked up my character right off the bat so I just played my old file with the expansion

Expansion was very good for an add-on

TypeRNammer 01-29-2025 11:31 PM

F1 24 for the PS5 digital version is currently $13.49, way cheaper than the physical version which usually hovers around $45 to $50. Then again, there's a possibility that this game might pop up on the PS monthly games
