i'm assuming if i have a choice of finding a used copy, it'll be better to find one on xbox vs switch right? unless i'm interested in playing on the go? |
Starfield looks pretty good on the Series X! A few graphical glitches when talking to people, but otherwise fairly smooth. |
I went ahead and cancelled my PS+ account that I've probably had for like 10 years. These guys are raising it to $95+ tax a year for the lowest tier now lol. This is up from $70 so not a small increase. This is the cheapest way you can play online now. If they have put out great games every month then it wouldn't be a problem but it seems like twice a year they put out a free game that I actually download. The new prices PlayStation Plus Essential 12-month subscription — $94.99 (previously $69.99) PlayStation Plus Extra 12-month subscription — $154.99 (previously $114.99) PlayStation Plus Premium 12-month subscription — $189.99 (previously $139.99) |
I played through two of the divinity’s and the first chapter of BG, I think I prefer the overall mechanics of BG better although had a great time and both divinity games were great Skinny are you playing on PC? My computer bit the dust so I may have to buy it again for PS5 but I’ve never really played a game like this with a controller |
Yup I'm playing on PC. I think I am getting close to the end? It's going sloowwwwwww. I kind of just want it to be over so I can go play Starfield. Some of the quests in act 3 are quite janky, as reported... And not just that, but they don't seem to have the same polish as the rest of the game. They are working on it constantly though. I might just try to finish it today, skipping the rest of the side content. All my characters are maxed out at 12 anyway, for quite a while now lol. |

The plans in Turkey went up 500%. How anyone thought that would go over well is beyond me. |
The ridiculous part is that announced nothing new to try and justify such an increase, it was basically just "oh by the way we're jacking prices up 30+% for the same mediocre service" |
Haven't started up Starfield yet, still finishing BG3 (it's getting tedious tbh but still fun) Looks like it makes sense to wait for new patches and drivers if you have an Nvidia GPU anyway |
BG3 is ruining my life. 50 hours in so far and I'm only partway through Act 2... My GF is getting sick of me staying up until 4am playing this damn game. |
Logged into Steam and I see that CS2 is now available to play. I recently beat Lies of P. Pretty good Soulsborne game and included with XGP. |
Anyone pick up FF7:Rebirth? Thoughts? I am a huge FF fan but can't justify spending $100+ on a game nowadays, not a fan of this trend. I'm gonna wait for a sale. BUUUUUTT.... anyone pick it up? early thoughts? is it as great as you thought it was gonna be? how are the graphics and controls? |
So it’s a total remake? Fuck like stupid Baldurs gate is still $90+ tax. Wish I had bought it instead of Spider-Man 2, this game is a fucking slog. I’m begrudgingly playing it because I paid full price but ffs.. it’s just the same repetitive group fights time after time after time, the visuals and story are not making up for it. |
isn't there a free version of ff7 rebirth, or was it just a demo/beta? or am i getting confused with another ff game? |
BG3 was worth the price tag, you get 70+ hours out of the game. Thought about purchasing rebirth but I played the remake and I didn't like it. Combat is too fast paced for my old/stoned ass, I found it overwhelming at times having to juggle 3-4 characters in real-time. Apparently rebirth makes it even more convoluted. |

Spent 83 hours and did pretty much all the sidequests and minigames except for a few end-game ones because I was pulling my hair out. Sold it on Facebook Marketplace for $80 hoping to do so before everyone else started listing their copy. Will revisit the game again when it's like $30-40 in a year, lol. Quote:

do ps5 / series x games ever drop to $30-40? even used games at EB seem pretty pricy still like $60+? |

There's not much replayability, it'll get ported to other systems, and most people will have already bought and beat it. |

I think I asked this before but for Mike or anyone else who played Baldurs gate, how is it with a controller? I’m kinda shook to buy a game like this and play it with a controller :( |
It's turn based combat shouldn't really matter if it's a controller unless I'm missing something |
I’m thinking mostly for selecting the party etc. which seems so intuitive with the mouse But I’m sure they’ve refined it that everything is fine with the controller.. just get annoyed with the learning curve |
I had no problem using my ps5 remote playing it but using a controller is all I really know lol |
It's fine Honda. Takes a little time to get used to at the beginning, but once you get a hand of it, works great. Larian did a fantastic job developing this game to work well on console, so lots of qualify of life features for console/controller users. I never actually felt like I needed a mouse and keyboard to play this game properly. Inventory management was maybe the more annoying part, but even then, it's not that bad. It's easy to transfer items between party members, and the best part, potions and such are shared between the entire party, meaning you don't need to make sure each party member has potions, you can pretty much have one potion mule and everyone can access those items. Trust me, the game is fantastic on controller, the devs spent a ton of time making sure of that. |
Yea played about 6 hours today in it, amazing what they’ve done with using the controller. The way you’re moving your selected character leaves nothing wanting with a mouse and selecting party members etc. almost seemless even for me who has never played a turn based game like this with a controller. Really well done |
