It’s kinda meh imo the car models look smazinf when you’re racing but the tracks are just ok. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m just playing regular mode or what but the AI is pretty underwhelming as well, if you’re behind the pack they follow identical lines until you disrupt the flow

Over Christmas I bought the G29 combo during their sale, picked up the PSVR2 when it was on sale at Costco, and picked up a stand off Amazon that's worked out great with an Ikea Poang chair.

GT7, with the wheel and PSVR2 is seriously the best gaming experience I've ever had. And I've been in the games industry for over 20 years :D

i haven't been racing as much as i thought i would. even with a proper stand with my wheel this time around.

i feel like i'm not having as much fun in assetto corsa than i did with GT5 on ps3. not sure if it's the tracks i'm using or the limited car selection.

was thinking of getting forza motorsport but had mixed reviews where ppl say stick with AS

Anyone hear about rumours of steam coming to Xbox? Any weight to this? Would make the Xbox a pseudo gaming pc if this were to happen ?

F1 23 was where it was at, probably one of the best iterations of the game.

ACC has a very steep learning curve, it takes a while to actually get going. I got bored of it very early as well. Went back to GT7 because it was basically plug and play.

I was browsing around the Best Buy website, looks like PS5 slim disc is back up to $649

Other markets in the world also went back up in price

i was really hoping they'd get steam on the series x/s but people are commenting that it is impossible due to hardware & OS restrictions.

will be keeping an eye on the next gen console though...

there's talk of the next xbox being a PC hybrid, able to run games off steam etc. more rumors of them maybe pushing to release it in 2026 ahead of 2027 (and PS's next gen) to get a drop on them.

people are saying if they're going to make it a PC hybrid they'll jack up the price

yes i was hoping series x could but it can't use steam so they're going to do it on the next gen. would be absolutely amazing if the series x could run steam but not hopeful from what i've read.

They spent way too much money acquiring shitty studios in an attempt to continue the console wars that are now totally non-existent, cross play is everywhere, FFS Forza is on PS now :lol

Books will be written on the failure of XBOX. It started with the marketing of One, going online too soon, and Sony benefitting because they were going to do the same thing, but were able to respond to the massive negative reaction Microsoft got

Then they tried to do the subscription thing, which as a customer I LOVE (especially since it's only like $3 per month here for PC only). It was looking good for a while, then came basically a video game crash post covid, which is still going on now, exacerbated by increasing hardware costs due to insane tariffs made by a retard in charge.

Sony isn't out of the woods; they've had to pull a game off the shelves after launch, Bungie is a disaster, and they are feeling the video game 'crash' as much as anyone, along with the tariffs. Releasing one game a year or whatever instead of relying on subs has kind of obscured how bad things are for them.

Been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

I give it to the devs kudos on the difficulty scale for this game.

Starting off I fucking sucked bad, getting my ass kicked left, right and centre (even dying a few times during the damn tutorial) to the point where I was about to just quit the game entirely.

Once I started to give it more time to practice the systems, grind a bit, I started getting way better. Now my character is walking around like the terminator. It's a funny game though, even when you get strong you can get your shit pushed in pretty quickly if you don't pay attention.

Would definitely recommend.

This game is so good, i went in blind just reading random reviews at launch. But I was pleasantly surprised, every task you think would be mundane ends up being a huge adventure. Very well made game.
