What does that cost to do and how long does it last? I never wash my cars and they look terrible.

I got it done at RDI Detailing and it runs $1900 for the whole exterior minus the wheels (another $400). I originally had Opticoat Pro on it but Burrard Acura missed my instruction to not wash my car and did a real number on the coating so they paid to have it redone and I went with Crystal Serum Ultra instead.

Has a 9 year warranty though that doesn't mean it won't pick up swirls for 9 years, just that the coating will still be there protecting the paint. I expect to have it work well for 5-6 years before I have it redone as I hate swirls.

There's less expensive products out there that will last 2-3 years and you can even do it yourself if you can do a paint correction yourself.

Opticoat Pro was very good but Crystal Serum Ultra has been fucking amazing so far.

some ppf are hydrophobic
i added 3 layers of paint sealant on top and reapply annually
done 8 coats over 3 small cars and there's probably 20-30% left

It's been a while since I've been able to post in this thread, feels good to be back in the saddle! After many months of hunting every forum, classifieds, and good buys thread I finally came across something that caught my eye. Wanted something that was going to push all the right buttons but stay within a reasonable budget (my son was born 2 months ago so getting wife on board was the biggest challenge).

So here it is, my new to me 2004 330i ZHP Sedan - 6 Speed with the optional Alcantara Pkg. Will need a little cosmetic exterior love but the mechanicals are mint as is the interior. Looking forward to getting out on the back roads again this summer! :fuckyea:

Nice! Guessing it is a USA import as "real" ZHP were only delivered to USA.
Make sure you change the cooling system :troll:

twitchyzero 06-01-2020 12:17 AM

if your m3 was 4-door would you have preferred it over the e46?

It's Canadian, saying ZHP is just more recognizable by people than saying M Performance PKG - ZAM lol

The E9x is such a different animal so it's tough to compare, the S65 is an insane powerplant...once you get it up into the RPMs. Above 4k it's would be tough to find something better than the S65. Down low it was a pain to drive around town (same reason a lot of people prefer the 335i around town over the M3). Once I drive the e46 around more I'll be able to give a better answer but so far it's nimble and go-kart like around town which is refreshing, handling is fantastic and hides it's weight better than the e92 did.

Swapped out to run my 16” rallycross setup. But going back to track so the brembo’s will be inspected/rebuilt and put back on once my full stoptech package arrives

Why do so many cars have big/small pikachu decals on them recently? I noticed it all over Richmond in the past month

I've seen them... but here's the real question... What's up with all those little yellow rubber ducks doing on their side mirrors..

I am assuming this is either an SLK or SLC, but when I did a reverse Google Search on your picture, Google tells me it's a Buick Regal. :D

I have a problem..3rd vehicle pickup in the past month

Edit: Sold the Legacy Wagon to a bunch of kids that reminded me of myself at 19 for 700$. I hope she goes to a good home and they hoon the hell out of her

This is Fiona, the $300 Ford Ranger fishing/camping/trail rig. 2.4L 4 cylinder single cab with the fun front bench seat where you have to reach into your passenger's crotch to change gears. It could be useful on dates in a non-creepy/appropriate way (when dating is allowed again ffs..)

legacy wagon isn't good for fishing/camping? now you gotta pay for 2x insurance worth more than the vehicle

The last couple of weeks of my life have been bad. Here's one of the nails in my faithless coffin.

Two upsides:

1) I think I know the issue with the car but we'll wait until the new parts go in and see what happens

2) This car doesn't start but it does start conversations. A few of people asked me about it (1 being the truck driver who loved it). They thought it was new or newer. I tell them the year and their jaws drop

I haven't smiled in awhile. Record broke. Felt good.

It’s a odd time we live in, when your 20 year old supercharged American cars are more reliable than the Japanese one
