I look better in a bikini though. The peloton has been paying off.

I found it interesting that North Delta Rec used Vancouver Cruise Ship employees for the registration and intake. I heard Coquitlam used Air Canada.

Good to know that they're using industries affected.

What sort of ridiculousness is this? BC residents will get turned away/ticketed from driving out of "health zones" yet albertans/etc are free to drive in to anywhere in BC

westopher 05-21-2021 05:08 PM

The Albertans are EVERYWHERE in the Okanagan. They come here en masse every spring and summer, but I thought that Covid and travel restrictions might reduce the number of red plates...not a chance :(

inv4zn 05-21-2021 06:04 PM

I wonder if it's just a jurisdiction thing, or what.

I mean, it's easier to tell your own kids to calm the fuck down than your next door neighbour's kids?

Also, is that really Westopher? I honestly can't tell if you assholes are joking or not

Bwahahahaha……………..

When I go to Westopher’s place, I’m taking someone like Berz with me just in case I somehow piss him off. I thought he was 6 ft 6,……… in any case, he’s a big boy. No doubt about that.

ImportPsycho 05-21-2021 06:22 PM

Wife at Poirier Forum Coquitlam for her 1st shot, says line up is huge, out the building into the parking lot.
Volunteer person says it's been is extra busy because now parents are allowed to bring kids with their appointment. So one appointment turns in to multiple shots.

320icar 05-21-2021 07:22 PM

Westopher is white as shit. But his wife tells me he’s hung like a 6’7 Samoan.

Bouncing Bettys 05-21-2021 07:41 PM

It was a 22yr old Albertan (I don't know her but I know who she is - to say she is dumb is being too kind) who was responsible for bringing covid to BC and indirectly giving it to myself, my son, and 3 other people while directly giving it to 6 others that I know of.

I don't hate Albertans, I have a lot of family in Calgary, but I am certainly spotting Alberta license plates and thinking "stupid" for entirely different reasons than before the pandemic.

Even today at my vaccination appointment in Abbotsford, I spotted 3 vehicles with Alberta plates.

whitev70r 05-21-2021 07:42 PM

And a lot of those redneck Albertans are anti-vaxxers ... get the eff out of here!

From Vancouver Dished - https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/bc-c...or-dining-open

The head of the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) says that restaurants can reopen for indoor dining after the May long weekend.

The messaging comes after Thursday afternoon’s press conference, during which BC Premier John Horgan announced that the “circuit breaker” restrictions would come to an end next week.

“Which means that as of 12:01 am on Tuesday, there’s no circuit breaker to guide restaurants, which means they can reopen.”

He’s also asking that until the government lays out further details, restaurants follow the guidelines that were in place before indoor dining was suspended.

“You can open on Tuesday. And we’re asking people to open with the same protocols they had in place before we closed, which was six people at a table and stay with your bubble until we hear otherwise.

Tostenson adds that while some restaurants will reopen on Tuesday, he’s expecting that many won’t be ready in time. He’s also asking that members of the public temper their expectations.

Zero notice for closures

Zero notice for reopening

The government has a real hate on for the food and services industry sheesh

If we have a slow patio and take out only day I may sell 3.5kg
If I order 35kg, and we have a shitty week of bad weather, and the restrictions aren’t lifted that’s enough for 10 days.
That’s not fresh, and not the kind of product we want to send out.
It takes 2 days to properly prep. It’s one basic way of looking at it, but extrapolate that over 100 ingredients and like 40-50 prep items.
We are also running with 3 people a day in the kitchen instead of 7, so getting people in requires planning, and I’m doing my absolute best to make sure I don’t tell someone to work and say oh never mind we don’t need you, so people can at least plan their lives.
Also if I bring people in for a 3 day work week, instead of 1 or 2 , they no longer qualify for the government benefits put in place for people who have lost hours. It’s complex. As obsideon said also some are doing side jobs to make extra money while their hours are cut. It’s not fair to them or their other employers to expect they can drop that without warning.

What restaurant are you at by the way? We wanna come check it out when it reopens here.

Westopher’s like wtf did I just get myself into? I got an invite, boys. The rest of you can eat at Kent’s Kitchen. Skinny Asian RS kids wanting to split coconuts and hang with a 6’ 7” Samoan. Gulolol.

Just kidding……….. Westopher need not worry. Like everything else on RS, nobody gonna show up. Talk is cheap. Little do they know how up scale his place is. Being part Hawaiian, I can hang with a Samoan. Hee hee.…….
