Went to Parallel 49 on Thursday night with a buddy of mine. They still have these big ass plexiglass windows partitioning the seats on the benches. It's absurd and terrible to sit within -- it's like you're in a little box sitting beside people, like a damn bubble. Completely destroys the pub vibe, and the ability to have a random chat with people sitting beside you, it's all just very odd. Covid has turned us all crazy, seriously. I get why people are sick of this shit, no wonder we're so divided. |
P49 really underlines the absurdity of it. I go there fairly frequently When they relaxed the mandates they removed those dividers, when they came back they put them back up. Like they do a fucking thing to prevent airborne transmission in a place like that lol. |
We did too, but it’s not by choice. Its either that, or have work safe BC come fuck with you and fine you. |

Good to see that the Fraser Valley Pickup drivers are not getting a free pass into the city https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.dig...=564&type=webp https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.dig...=423&type=webp |

No matter what you believe, understand that others who even may believe in your cause too are just trying to get paid and live life. Sticking it to those people in the name of change is just backwards and feeds into the division. |

That I can agree with. Nobody wants to get off work and have an altercation though. I’m sure the people that have sure as fuck weren’t expecting such garbage behaviour from the last “protest” at VGH or Nanaimo general, etc. |
I thought they made hospitals or vaccine places exclusion zones where you can't protest. Cuz those dumbasses that protested at the hospital a while back. |

What exactly is your goal if you are counter-protesting the mandates protests? To have additional restrictions applied? |
^ I think the goal is simply GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE AND GO HOME! |
Lol sweet attempt at being obtuse. They are probably in favour of people getting vaccinated. |
JT is doing the smart thing by doing nothing. The longer it lasts the greater chance of something negative happening and people will blame the cons. After this photo op Pierre Poilievre has announced he is running for the con leadership. https://manotickmessenger.ca/wp-cont...50-800x445.jpg |
Got caught in that convoy earlier today and passed by this truck lol https://i.imgur.com/vy8yUPZ.jpg |
I will surely listen to your enlarged photos of generic microscopic specimens taped to the back of a 30 year old truck |
The snow plow man in 1992 truck knows best. Poilievre is really going to pick an imaginary fear of empty shelves as his political hill to live/die on? He’s an even bigger fool than I thought he was. |
Quite a depressing take on the situation in Ottawa and what it really means for Canada's security (long Twitter thread): https://twitter.com/mattgurney/statu...nNM-rSLfA&s=19 |

I was referring to the irony of talking about "the haves enriching themselves" and then posting a link to Amazon, owned by Jeff Bezos. |

I have no doubt that they can call in the military and take these guys out an less than a day. It's not something they want to do after all the things that has happened in the states, and the high profile protests and incidents that made headlines in HK. |

Fine, book it out at your local library, it's worth a read :lol "Why we're polarized" is another excellent one by Ezra Klein. https://vpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S38C7587356 |
