Thats true. The kids today do lack that work ethics previous generations had. They got nobody like a "burrows." Maybe Garland comes close.

Go further back to WCE days and there was Ruutu and Cooke. No one does that on this team. There's no grit. Look at every scrum that happens. Just a couple of pushes and "don't do that" looks.
Once again, good old saying hard work beats talant when talent isn't hard working and all of our talent isn't working hard enough. Plain and simple

I think this team is demoralized. Last season the whole COVID breakout did a number on the team, coupled with poor management not instilling confidence from the top by doing a piss-poor job of managing that situation and general hockey-ops probably hasn't helped. I think Holtby and Schmidt are the tip of the iceberg and that more players will look to get out down the road.

I think most people will prefer a more traditional look (you can see it if you click into that twitter thread), but I'm a sucker for high contrast sports jerseys, and black as a colour.

Feel the black is too "try hard edgy" for me.
Nothing to do with traditional, but primary colours should be based off on colours of the flag.
Doesn't make any sense to me why we're trying to look like the evil final team in every Mighty Ducks movies.

The only way to turn this team around is a coaching change to start. Trading (another) one of your more dependable players, and points leader, will not make the team better while putting even more pressure on the underperforming players.
While the players may be the ones not performing, a change in coach will light a fire under everyone's ass. Everyone will have an incentive to play better because they need to prove themselves to the new coach.
