BIG BEAR :awwyeah: |
OMFG! The anthem singer was pretty confused there for a while. There were times where it looked like she was going full on "lounge singer" from the Baltimore vs BC Lions game......... Then during the star mangled banner, she was all over the place as far as breathing's concerned. Never going to criticize that cutie, Marcia, from Vancouver for breathing technique. Anyway, are the 'Nucks leading? Spoiler! |
Did someone say 2 ~ 0 ? :troll: |
Haha right on cue |
canucks so good - impressive tonight. |
Sabres should get a pentalty for that, not Bo.. Jesus fucking christ |
Wow, Canucks win! The team did not let a two goal lead in the third period evaporate. The power play was cooking again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Haha Canucks kick me in the nuts every night as a fan…. Then I bet against them in play now and they find a whole new way to kick me in the nuts by winning for a change :lol |
That's what you get for betting against your own team! Never again! (unless you want to drop $10K to reverse jinx them) |

The whole concept of performing during a contract year is kinda crazy Hockey is one sport that is so hard to achieve individual success yet you see this so often. Even guys in the middle of their contracts who are expected to perform at a second or third line level so often are struggling or whatever cliche you want to use, “gripping the stick too hard” etc. but to be able to actively elevate your game during a contract year when really, the pressure is the highest on you individually, it’s surprising how often it happens imo |
I don't think it's that hard at their level? You can be really good in the NHL and still float a little bit on plays if you're a top 6 splayer, not take the extra stride to a puck, not initiate contact for a boards battle... and then turn it up motivation wise for a season and you will definitely increase your output maybe 20% or more if you get some bounces? |

Its kinda human nature tooo turn it on when money is involved. Case in point contract years. Or when teams make it into playoffs. Everyone is built different, look at Mcdavid, he never takes a night off, and u have guys like Virtanen who cant even raise his level when his career depends on it. Ur boss gives a 100k incentive to the employee who produces the most work and everyone all a sudden becomes a different type of worker. Well maybe not everyone. |
A Mcdavid or a Crosby are one offs. Their dedication is unmatched, on top of a godly skill set. If money was really a motivator, you’d think you could play at a high level for a more extended period of time. 2 75 point seasons are likely to you a bigger contract than one 80 point season I dunno.. I think it’s much harder to elevate your game on call than you’d think |
How do you explain guys like Nichushkin otherwise... was a total deadbeat in Dallas and even a bunch of his time in Colorado... then suddenly he decides to start using his size and dummying dudes left and right in a contract year AND a Cup run no-less... like borderline he was a Conn Smythe candidate... got himself a massive deal, he's set. 2013–14 Dallas Stars NHL 79 14 20 34 2014–15 Dallas Stars NHL 8 0 1 1 2014–15 Texas Stars AHL 5 0 4 4 2015–16 Dallas Stars NHL 79 9 20 29 2016–17 CSKA Moscow KHL 36 11 13 24 2017–18 CSKA Moscow KHL 50 16 11 27 2018–19 Dallas Stars NHL 57 0 10 10 2019–20 Colorado Avalanche NHL 65 13 14 27 2020–21 Colorado Avalanche NHL 55 10 11 21 2021–22 Colorado Avalanche NHL 62 25 27 52 Look at those PPG every year... .5ppg and then suddenly last year almost a PPG???? |
I think the player’s line mates will help their buddies pad stats in contract years as well. I’d rather help line the pockets of the guys going to battle with me vs the billionaire owner’s.. |

But u dont need me to tell you that, u watched alot of hockey to know that alot of players do this. U even said in ur original post that ur surprised at how often it happens. |
Yea maybe moreso I’m saying like.. you can do all those things, train harder cut out the BS, work on your shot etc. But it’s not like this is tennis or somthing where individually you control your destiny. There are so many barriers to increasing your personal statistics in the NHL and it still happens with regularity.. so maybe it says somthing moreso about the rest of the league and your nightly competition who may be comfortable in their situations lol |
What is happening? The 1-2-3 in the Pacific: 1. Vegas Knights 2. LA Kings 3. Seattle Kracken Didn't see this coming ... |
Hmmm. This is a trade rumour that is mentioned on the Daily Shit. The Leafs are interested in Myers? https://dailyhive.com/toronto/leafs-...ibextid=Zxz2cZ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
