What a waste. Martin played well too. |
You guys are not used to this, win 2, lose 2, win 2, lose 2 .. rinse and repeat? |
this is making some news around the league Chara saying the Canucks practising how to lift the cup and handing it off at the Garden back in 2011 https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/video/b...ation-in-2011/ just reading up on comments on IG and on some boards, Theres actually quite a few people who think what Chara said are true. |

Yah the same good guy Chara that almost killed Max Pacioretty for no reason. Dude should shut the fuck up annd enjoy everyone’s short memory of his “amazing” career. |
Nucks offered Bo less than 8mil/yr, Bo rejected. :Popcorn |
The Official 2022/2023 Canucks & NHL Thread Quote:
Bieksa ripped into Chiara’s comments during a segment of HNIC last Saturday. What Juice said about Chara’s comments make a great deal of sense. No media reported on any “incident”. No cameras with video footage about the alleged incident. A big insult to the team. Insult to the leadership group of the 2011 team and to three first ballot Hall of Fame players in Henrik, Daniel, and Luongo. It is only dumb asses with no critical Thinking skills who believe anything about this rumour because people posted these lies on forums or social media. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Bieksa is an absolute gem… Even though he made fun of me in person once :okay: |
Anyone ever look back at videos of our cup run in 2011? When U2 comes on at 1:30 :tears: |
An open wound that will never close Went to 2 games of the finals both wins uhg. I was sitting right behind the net with the burrows OT goal in game 2 and I woulda bet my life we were gonna win the cup after that |

After the 2012 lockout I was done, it was the final nail after the bullshit in 1994-1995 and 2004-2005. I wouldn't be exaggerating to say I've probably only watched 6 or 7 hours of NHL hockey since then, totally soured me and based on principle alone I haven't been able to support it since. I took my son to one game so he could experience and make his own mind up, he prefers the NFL much much more. I'll still read about it and see how the Canucks are doing but I can't bring myself to watch it, I feel like if I do I'm a hypocrite for saying I won't watch anymore lol. |

But it's inevitable, the team sucks, and he doesn't want his career to be stuck here. Money's the only incentive for him to stick around, and 8mil isn't going to be enough. |
Rutherford and Allvin had better maximize the return from a Horvat trade. They already shit the bed with giving out big money for a defensively challenged player in Miller. Canucks management need to get this trade done right. Young centre man, right handed defencemen, and draft picks are what this team needs in return for trading Bo. It's time to move on. Get a proper rebuild done for this franchise. This team is still looking from the outside at a wildcard playoff spot. The defence sucks. Perhaps buyouts of big contracts are possible too in a rebuild? |
This move will be the defining move for the next 3-5 years potentially |
Next 3 years are gonna suck no matter what with OEL on defense... he needs to go to Gary Roberts or something in the summer to work on his skating, he's just getting walked by multiple times a game... it's ridiculous. He probably doesn't care enough to put in the effort to up his game anymore though, just collecting his $60M+ |
I would take the Horvat thing with a grain of salt right now. Miller supposedly turned down their best offer as well, and they got it done. It could be that they aren't on speaking terms right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's all smoke and mirrors and Horvat and the agent and PA are laughing in a backroom either. |
