Glad he addressed the controversy

no Messier?? fuck that guy anyways

Miller should just only be allowed to shoot from now on.

He can't pass for shit.

68style 12-02-2022 02:30 PM

He's going on about maturity and hard work... there are no less than 3 clips I could think of from last night's game where he completely gave up on the backcheck and/or hung the team out to dry.

Gotta walk the walk Miller.

I am so so so confused about that play where Riley Stillman slapshotted it straight into a Florida player shorthanded instead of off the boards/glass and out. Just insanity. I've watched it like 20 times and I have no idea what he's thinking in his head.

mb_ 12-02-2022 05:30 PM

Hmm... Miller doesn't have NTC/NMC until his new contract kicks in after this season... :considered:

whitev70r 12-02-2022 05:37 PM

^ they need to trade him before the end of this season ... plain and simple. Take some cap hit if necessary but you have to get out of this one.

Spencer will need to play even better now that Demko will not be able to play for six weeks.

Fortunately, Demko needs rehab for the injury instead of surgery. He will miss 17 games during a six week period of rehab.

Aw man ... bummer for Demko, he's been having such a tough year as it is, now a 6 week set back. I know he's set for life with his contract and all but I'm sure no one wants to get back into that groove that he was in last year, than him.

bobbinka 12-03-2022 11:54 AM

Brock scratched tonight

whitev70r 12-03-2022 12:53 PM

oh man, that's embarassing, hope it lights a fire under his arse with a vengeance.

pastarocket 12-03-2022 03:33 PM

Hearing a trade rumour that involves Boeser.

Brock goes back to his home state of Minny. Wild trade Matt Dumba??

Is this why Boeser is a healthy scratch for tonight’s game?

Hope so. They need to do something or else it doesn't even look like they're trying to win

For me anyway the team is capped out with Horvat left to resign which regardless of the pace he's had this year I was all in on either way. Miller like it or not it's done. We have many problems but D is definitely one and if there's anywhere we can spare it's at the forward position. EP40 ain't going anywhere, neither is Miller, Boeser as much as I like the guy is the expendable one that might have some worth. I would argue maybe Garland as well but hey maybe both I don't know if we can get some actual D help coming back. We might be better we might not be who knows but what I do know is we can't keep moving forward like this it's laughable how crappy we are defensively.

bobbinka 12-03-2022 04:54 PM

I actually don't think Bo's contract is that big of a deal. The Holtby/Virtanen buyout ends and gives us 2.4mil back. Bo is 5.5mil, so that's 7.9mil without having to make space. The difference will be anywhere from 100k to 1.1mil, I'd say.

Ultimately, we would still need to clear out cap space to afford Kuzmenko. So some guys are definitely getting shipped out.

Trading Brock for Dumba, I'd really hope we get some sweeteners, because Dumba's a UFA at the end of this year. (also, the guy hasn't played a full season since 17-18)

whitev70r 12-03-2022 05:14 PM

Why can't Miller be traded before new contract kicks in next year ... like at trade deadline to a playoff push team.

bobbinka 12-03-2022 05:17 PM

pastarocket 12-03-2022 06:14 PM

Hmm. Boeser is playing tonight against the Coyotes after all.

John Shorthouse said that Brock is playing because Dakota Joshua cannot play.

who's got a working stream? both markky and crackstreams keep lagging every few seconds of play...

No goal. League review in the situation room.

The net was knocked off prior to the puck going to net as per the ref’s explanation. Too much time elapsed between the net off and puck going into the net?

Gotta read the NHL rule book for this situation.

Oh for some reason there is a time limit where the goal doesn't count? How does that make any sense... What's the time limit?

Razor Ramon HG 12-03-2022 07:42 PM

Don't understand, if net was still on, it would've went in anyways. Vejmelka was spread eagle on the ground.

pastarocket 12-03-2022 07:45 PM

Miller with the lazy casual back passes during power plays!

Easy puck interception for the Coyotes.

Not sure what the ruling is according to the rule book. But from my perspective, I think it's because the puck was shot (off of a rebound) after the net was already off. If the puck went in between the pipes from the initial shot while the net was knocked off, it would have counted. I don't think it's literally so much as how much time elapsed, but more of the fluidity of the play.

The defenseman fell, didn't make it apparent it was intentional to knock the net off, so that doesn't help canucks' argument.

I feel in a scenario like this though, canucks should have been awarded a penalty shot.

bobbinka 12-03-2022 08:03 PM

What a load of shit.

If you knock your own goal off, the play doesn't get blown down until your team gets possession of the puck. This prevents teams from just pushing their net off whenever the opposing team has possession to stop play.
