-can't wait until the draft begins. The entry draft is on July 7th, at 4pm PST/7pm EST in Montreal. Which player will our Canucks draft with the fifteenth overall pick? |
I think the Canucks are going to draft one of those Swedish guys, even though Bob McKenzie ranked them lower than 15: 21 Liam Öhgren Djurgardens (SWE J-20) 22 Noah Östlund Djurgarden (SWE J-20) |
|
Personally think play #3 should've been #1 spot. |
I will miss #9 in blue and green. |
-random pics that are related to the Canucks. A friend mentioned to me yesterday that he saw a freaking BAT inside one of shops at the airport. A bat inside YVR. When he was at the airport a few weeks ago arriving from Winnipeg, he saw a small bat flying inside one of the airport terminals. The bat flew into a shop inside the airport. The little bat landed on top of a Canucks hoodie!! Who knew that bats/Batman is a Canucks fan hahah. Here are some pics from my friend of the furry bat: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f8a2232dce.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...227e3ef723.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I love bats! So rare to see them up close in the daytime like that. Your friend is lucky, I hope the bat made it out of there OK |
> Bat lands on Canucks hoodie > Gary Batman is league commissioner > Canucks are 2023 Stanley Cup Champions |

nothing will happen today, it will all go down on the draft floor tomorrow. |
There's some talk on twitter about a 6 year deal for JT pending. I guess we'll find out soon. |
Canucks Army blog said Canucks need a contract to look like 6 years at $8.5... but that was being put forward as what would be ideal for them... might be where those numbers are coming from. Saw Bryan Marchment passed away too... only 53 years old wow... his son is playing for FLA |
Marchment was one of those players I hated until he was on my team. Some great Rock'em Sock'em highlights over his career. Glad he at least got to see his son have an amazing season before he passed. |
Im just hoping Bettman says "We have a trade to announce" a few times tommorow |
I'm pretty excited for the draft tonight, I think the Canucks are going to do something big. That being said watch them do nothing and I got my hopes up for nothing like every other year lol |
The Sedin year and the Schneider trade for Horvat were pretty exciting! |
no question and the Hughes draft year was exciting as well. But lately it has been far from that. Doesn't help we haven't had a first round pick the last two years. |
Reports saying that the Canucks are offering absolute maximum 6 year term to Miller and his agent wants no less than 8... sounds like they won't be able to get a deal done. Might be his last day as a Canuck :( |
and I'm sure the money is at least a million off from what Miller wants as well. I have a feeling it's his last number of hours being a Canuck and I so hope we can get a nice haul for him. Lets cross our fingers and hope the Rangers finally cave and include Schneider in the package. |
They're kinda silly not to, their D corps is already ridiculous, they can definitely afford to lose a guy even if it's a top prospect. |
especially their right side. They gave up a first round pick for Copp and he played how many games? Ideally they should trade Schneider, Kakko and maybe their 2023 2nd round pick (I can't see this year since they don't have a first) I would be happy with that trade and think its more then fair. |
Which players do you think the Rangers would offer for JT Miller? Kaapo Kakko? Copp? Maybe their d-man Schneider? -also throw in draft picks in a package deal for Miller? I am sure there are many other teams besides the Rangers that have offers being sent to Allvin. Perhaps New Jersey? |
I think with the Rangers the Canucks want Schneider but they are still not willing to move him. No question NJ is in the mix and along with the Canes. I could honestly see Meyers getting traded to the Blue Jackets as well. With such a unique draft this year its going to be very interesting and hopefully exciting for us. |
None of those rangers roster players make us better than with JT |
they might not make us better this very second but it will open up cap space, the protentional for them to break out in the next year our two when the Canucks should hopefully be in the window to compete is key here. The Canucks can't afford Miller and signing him to a contact that expires when he's 38 is a bad move. |
