lol Flames.... What's going on over there |

or more appropriately, a dumpster fire. Gulolololol. |
Welp, there goes Tkachuk lol. He has officially let the Flames know he won't be signing long term (aka he'll for sure be traded now). Can you imagine now, with the benefit of hindsight, if the Canucks had drafted him and he ended up leaving us hanging like this? Oh, the outrage :ahwow: |
They just had a guy on from the athletic and he was reporting both Johnny and Tkachuk wanted out of a Canadian market due to the Covid BS you’ve got to deal with in Canada, nice. |
I’ve been through all the athletics articles on the subject and have never seen anyone say that. It doesn’t even make sense? What BS would they even be talking about? |
Mandatory quaratine, being stuck in the states testing positive, border controls etc. I dunno they had the guy on this afternoon and he was outlining those specific things as reasons for both of them. |
I wonder if there's something else going on over there. Two star players, top-10 scorers in the league last season, both jumping ship. You get the most minutes, the team was top of the division, made it to 2nd round playoffs... and neither did the team any favor the way they left or are leaving. Gaudreau walked for nothing, and Tkachuk handcuffed the team by publicly saying he won't sign long term and only wants to go to X teams. |
Garbage facility, oldest rink in the league, while it’s not the worst city it’s still Calgary Who knows what else |
Gaudreau has stated several solid reasons... and his players tribune piece today seems very genuine... Tkachuk on the other hand? I think the writing has been on the wall for a loooooooong time with him... at the all-star games when he was participating in things he made comments that sounded like he preferred to be around his family and Keith has meddled in both Brady's and his careers quite a bit... then you think back to when he got in a few scrums and his teammates hung him out to dry / probably tired of his antics like everyone else is and he had a hissy fit at his own bench, slammed the door on Gaudreau before storming to the dressing room... he didn't even show up for the playoffs after the first round this past season, just coasting around out there I think he had 1 assist the last 4 games against Edmonton. I'd like to laugh at Calgary, but there's a serious problem for all Canadian teams stemming from this. The league is not balanced and is stacked against teams in Canada. |
Rough summer for Alberta |

Did Tkachuk have to be so public about it? I mean it puts Calgary in such a pickle, they're going to look for a trade from a position of weakness. Anyhow, most of us have the choice of where we want to live and work, I suppose after your first contract, players earned the right to choose. But it would be nice to see some loyalty. |
"Should've drafted Tkachuk" aged well :troll: |
would gladly have had Tkachuk play for 6 years than OJ for 0 |
Why is that filing blocked out so randomly... and in a way that you can still read all the words if you zoom in? Besides, the whole thing including the supposed text messages is on CBC: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/daryl...ions-1.6526941 |
So it looks like the bigger story/picture was that 7 ballerinas are suing a couple who ran a Ballet dance school ... wow the shit that goes on behind closed doors in gymnastics, swim clubs, and ballet/dance schools. I remember our city's well-known Goh ballet was exposed for a sexual misconduct scandal involving a teacher. Regards to Katz ... nothing surprising that ugly rich men (really ugly in this case) pay for sex with hot women. From CBC article The unproven allegations come in response to a sexual abuse lawsuit launched by seven aspiring ballerinas in 2021 against Mitchell Taylor Button, a dance teacher, and his wife Dusty Button, once a principal member of The Boston Ballet. Earlier this month, Taylor Button and his wife filed a third-party counterclaim in U.S. District Court in Nevada, admitting to a consensual "throuple sexual relationship" with Sage Humphries, the lead plaintiff in the suit. The cross-claim says their "loving and supportive" affair began in 2017, when Humphries was 18, but alleges she had been involved in three prior sexual relationships as an underage teen with much older men, including Katz. |

Just my two bits. My three children are in their 30's now and I couldn't be more proud of how they turned out. They surround themselves with honest, positive, and most importantly, people with integrity. |
The problem isn’t your children, it’s other peoples lol |
What's that saying? Something like when you have a son, you only have to worry about one dick. But when you have a daughter, you have to worry about the entire town's. |
I’ve got a young daughter and feel like there’s a little less pressure in teaching someone to avoid pieces of shit as opposed to teaching someone not be a piece of shit. Katz is most certainly a piece of shit. |
Laws are all over the place on this stuff, not sure what the law is in... wherever this happened... Nevada??? I think BC age of consent is only 16 years old, which strikes me as something that should be changed to include a qualifier for proximity of age (ie: 17 and 16 is okay or whatever, but not 53 and 17). Either way just gross. Not sure how he can say it's a payment for a movie production... don't think billionaires are in the habit of handing out $75k stipends to 17 year olds to make documentaries lol... or why he would need to say "People might judge our age difference" on text message in relation to a movie project. Sigh. |
As for the 2018 World Junior team............... only 2 players on the whole roster haven't issued a statement yet that I could find -- Drake Batherson and Alex Formenton. So there's at least 6 liars minimum lol.... Boris Katchouk's statement wasn't a denial either I guess... he just said he has no comment beyond what was told to investigators. Although quite a few of the statements are of the "xxxx was not involved in any wrongdoing and was never charged" variety Yah, well, nobody was charged... but that doesn't mean they weren't there for the gangbang. |

Now the 2003 Team Canada apparently also involved in sexual misconduct allegations. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/can...ault-1.6529076 corrected .. here is 2003 Junior Team Canada https://www.quanthockey.com/wjc-u20/...u20-stats.html |
