That said, there should be an investigation into the allegations, however, just like virtainen, she would also be innocent until proven guilty, and shouldn't be charged unless there is evidence of false police reports and/or conspiracy against him. |
Honestly not to shit on jake but the guy is pretty clearly a moron and demonstrated it continuously with the Canucks. Maybe it didn’t happe in the way she laid it out but I wouldn’t doubt somthing happened. He could just afford the more expensive legal team |
Well the girl also needed all TWELVE jurors to agree that he committed the assault... absolutely zero chance of that happening no matter who was on her side. It's he said/she said. No other witnesses. He basically just had to show up and not have his legal team do anything stupid... which they couldn't even do... that whole "Why didn't you make up an excuse?" thing from his legal team was a major major gaff. |
I've refrained from commenting on the JV18 stuff and only briefly followed it with TL;DR, but both sides seem like absolute morons, with the added bit that the girl seem to be looking for a huge pay day. I also don't know what JV18 would get from counter-suing. She's not gonna have money to pay him unless he's just trying to get his justice. Now that everything is done I'm kind of going to guess a team might throw out a bone and sign JV18 for league min? |
He couldn't even cut it in the KHL and got released there... and judging by what we seen of him walking into court, he's in horrible shape. I doubt he's going to be back in the NHL. Hope he saved some of his $$$ Made $7.7M playing like shit for us, substantially more than almost anyone makes in their lifetime... hooray for society. |

The line of questioning to the witness drew a lot of ire from the public and I'm sure raised eyebrows on the jury... they asked her why, if she didn't want to have sex, she didn't make up a story or lie like she was on her period or not feeling well. It's just a stupid question to ask... it's not up to the victim to make stuff up to get away from a guy lol... In my opinion it was a pretty stupid angle from his legal team. |
I believe they said His defense team was the same that defended pickton and other kinda heinous criminals in the past lol.. I’m sure they had no censor in their questioning |
Sutter, poor guy: “Basically, I’ve been left with a lot of different things,” said Sutter. “With my lungs and my breathing and any exertion, I just can’t do it. I stop and feel like I have to cough something out and just feel like I can’t get oxygen into my body.” “I was also having gastrointestinal issues, but I’m a 100 per cent better than I was a year ago. But I still can’t train or work out. When I take it easier, I’m OK. When I do too much, it just crushes me.” “The ongoing issue is we don’t exactly know what we’re trying to heal yet” “I just want to feel normal again. Then I can start thinking about training and preparing but for now, it’s about taking care of myself and worrying about hockey later. I know for me there’s only a few years left at best.” |
What happened to him? Long covid battle or unrelated? |

^ oh man ... poor guy, in shape athlete down with long Covid. You'd think this situation is exactly why all pro athletes would get a vaccine ... not only can it ruin your life, there goes your career and way to earn a living! |
Not 100% sure on this but I think he might’ve caught it early on before the vaccines were available.. |
Poor Sutter. Wasn't this because of Adam Covid Gaudette? |
Here’s the article about Sutter, where it also says that he’s taking ivermectin… you know, the drug used to treat parasites in cattle? https://theprovince.com/sports/hocke...g-hauler-maze/ I genuinely felt bad that his hockey career was probably coming to an end, but if he’s feeding into this disinformation, I can’t help but laugh… |
Ivermectin in normal human doses used for deworming won't likely hurt him, but I don't see how it would help either... Removing spike proteins? Does he realize he doesn't have covid anymore? Sucks when people get hit that hard by it, so I can't blame them for trying everything they come across... |

When my dad was battling cancer, I tried everything to help relieve him of any discomfort and pain, things that would help him eat, etc. He would've probably called me crazy if I asked him to try weed when he was healthy, but he sure liked that CBD oil near the end. |
Klingberg signs a one year contract with the Ducks for 7 million. |
… what a strange decision |
one year deal and then he will sign with the Canucks next year. |
The Flames extend Jonathan Huberdeau to an eight-year, $10.5 AAV deal. https://twitter.com/Sportsnet/status...LM9YNjhiLsNY9g |
Flames going balls deep |
Well, Huberdeau just took $$ earmarked for Johnny Goudreau's ... and he is jiggling, wiggling, and dribbling. Gotta wonder what kind of escape hatch is built in to contract in case Huberdeau wants out. But nowadays, honestly, contract means sh*t ... all a decent player have to say to the press is that 'I'm asking for a trade' or 'I'm not re-signing after this year' and GM has to play. |
Well... Huberdeau will be 37 when this deal finishes... most likely he will be completely finished by then too haha... they'll spend the last 2 years of this contract complaining about how he doesn't produce anywhere near its cap hit |
LTIR loophole will always exist. Some comparisons to Huberdeau are playmakers who tend to age well until about 35. If you think of Calgary's current window to win being about 5 years then this deal is a perfectly acceptable gamble. They are most definitely in win now mode. Cap will start to go up again too, so there's that as well. |
