wooo...... Shut out.

bobbinka 04-08-2023 01:50 PM

Big night tonight. 4 teams fighting for 2 playoff spots in the East and 3 teams fighting for 1 spot in the West. Crazy tight race

whitev70r 04-08-2023 02:58 PM

^ I think you meant 3 in the West for 1 spot - Winnipeg, Calgary, Nashville. And Nashville is in Winnipeg tonight.

and 3 in the East for 2 spots - Florida, Pittsburgh, and New York Islander

But yah, every point counts for these teams. This is their 'play-in' playoff

bobbinka 04-08-2023 04:09 PM

Buffalo is in the race for the East. They already played today, but it was just easier to say.

whitev70r 04-08-2023 04:48 PM

Oh ... yah, mathematically possible for Buffalo but I didn't see them as having a chance but anything is possible.

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2023 06:36 PM

Pettersson with another shorty! 99 points! POGGERS

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2023 06:54 PM

Great intermission segment on Cheech on HNIC

Losing him sucks! BabyRage

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2023 06:58 PM

The heel turn is complete!

bobbinka 04-08-2023 06:59 PM

i'm glad we're not the ones paying him $8.5mil for 8 years, i'll tell you that for free

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2023 07:38 PM

WHAT A SAVE!!!!

bobbinka 04-08-2023 08:50 PM

Excellent OT, wow

spoon.ek9 04-08-2023 08:58 PM

that was actually an entertaining game. was really hoping we could fully upset the flames tonight. i guess i'll take them only getting 1 point lol.

bobbinka 04-08-2023 09:42 PM

cap?

spoon.ek9 04-09-2023 07:17 AM

I would be ok with either him or Petey as next captain. No need to rush the decision though I'd say. Between the two of them, this team is in good hands.

punkwax 04-09-2023 08:40 AM

Sure seems Hughes is being groomed to wear the C next. He’s never been so outspoken.

There's always three sides to each coin. I wouldn't be surprised if he's upset by the way he was treated while in Vancouver. Not just the way he was traded, but the overall toxic environment that Aqualvulva orchestrated. In time, everybody will forget the way the coaching situation was handled. Also, the fans in Vancouver are shit. Wasn't that long ago a player was berated in front of his family at a pumpkin patch, of all places.

That wasn't true, someone made it up. A better example would be the riots :lol

whitev70r 04-10-2023 11:59 AM

Coilers are heating up at the right time ... 9-0-1 for the last 10 ... and W7 in a row. And they are winning games with like 1 or 2 goals against so their D has finally learned how to tighten things up with new addition Ekholm. They have the chance to chase down Vegas for 1st spot depending on how the remaining 2 game go ... is this their best chance?

Hondaracer 04-10-2023 12:13 PM

Not to mention the road to the final out of the west is far more comfortable than the east

westopher 04-10-2023 12:54 PM

As badly as I want to see the oilers win, I can't imagine anyone but the bruins winning the cup. They have so much grit to go with the talent.

whitev70r 04-10-2023 01:15 PM

^ yah, breaking records and making history left and right ...

westopher 04-10-2023 01:20 PM

And there's no arguing that the east has been harder to win in than the west for years.

teggy604 04-10-2023 03:42 PM

I guess time will tell for Bruins. Last team to win president trophy and cup was the blackhawks

Isn't that the same for our 2011 team?
