So fucking bad. 0SOG on the 4min PP. Only 4SOG. Meanwhile they have 23SOG. |
Bloody 4 shots in a game 7. Maybe they can pull another rabbit out of the hat and win but I doubt it. It was a good run, see y'all in Oct. |
Silovs makes those crazy looking saves people love because he's flying around and super athletic. This is what I always loved about Demko. Just solid, always in the right position to make the stop without needing to make a desperation save. He looks like a boring wall, but I really appreciate it I have to think Silovs is going to get coached by Ian Clark how to be more like Demko, Bobrovski, Markstrom, etc though. Clark requested to draft him, so he sees a lot in him. |

With Skinner in net, there's always a chance for a comeback |
Damn ... 50/50 is over $1.1M |

Can’t be trying to look for those pretty passes at this point though, just go to the net |

Edmonton found another gear in Game 6, Vancouver hasn’t matched that and are just hanging on. I think the team looked gassed towards the end of the regular season, and this has been an incredible run and something to build on. I also hope Petey get the help he needs this offseason, no one knows what’s wrong but there is definitely something up. Canucks need him and his game to get back to where it needs to be for next season. |
lets hope they got some motivation or inspiration speech in the locker room |

The look from Tocchet after the goals this period say it all. The Canucks have been short shifting all game; no motivation speech is going to give them their legs back. Canucks would easily go down in 4/5 to the Stars anyway. |
I agree, the boys look tired and out of gas. It was a good run and a good experience for the guys who have never made it this deep into the postseason. Now it's time to build on what was a good season overall. And I'm not hating on the Oilers, but I don't see them getting past the Stars. Skinner is a liability, and the Stars are not a team that gets only 10 shots on goal after 2 periods, so they'll test him. |
First game ... Canucks were down 4-1 going into the 3rd if I remember correctly ... ultimately won 5-4. But probably can't pull that rabbit out of their arse now ... |
As much as the Canucks look tired, Oilers have been really great defensively, with some all time great back checking for the last 2 games |
TBH, I think Canucks have been fairly lucky in the playoffs. You can kind of debate it was their game plan all along, to just play defensive and counter punch, allow to be bombarded with shots, but low percentage scoring chances. But at the end of the day, it's not sustainable hockey or the recipe to be outshot every game and rely on timely goals to win. Edmonton were always the better team and they just simply woke up once they finally stopped underestimating Vancouver. It just took them 1 loss away from elimination to wake up. |
At the very least, I hope Canucks get at least one. Don’t let Skinner get that shutout! |
