I dislike Dallas because of the owner, but I have them advancing to the Cup Final. They're well rested, have a better defense, a better goalie, and they knocked off Vegas and the Avs.

Keefe hired by NJD btw

Harvey Specter 05-22-2024 04:34 PM

Well deserved.

SkinnyPupp 05-22-2024 06:21 PM

Told you guys Florida was boring!

SkinnyPupp 05-22-2024 06:44 PM

AWFUL play by the Rangers there... Goalie puts the puck to the boards right to a Florida player, he centers it and the Rangers defenseman knocks it in the net for an own-goal

Down 0-2 with 3 mins remaining

But but Oilers fans said since their new coach came in all their defensive numbers say they're a better defensive team than the Stars and anyone who says otherwise is a butthurt Canucks fan :okay:

I wonder how the owners felt and agreed to having Gonchar work for both teams at the same time.

Petey said this about his injury to reporters:

Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson gave a bit of insight as to why he struggled in the post-season and the back half of the regular season.

Speaking at the Canucks' end-of-season media availabilities on Thursday, the 25-year-old revealed that he played with a knee injury since January.

"It's been a nagging injury. The longer it went, the more pain I felt," Pettersson said. He said the injury doesn't require any further medical intervention, just "time to heal, time to rest.

Makes sense why he started to struggle around the all-star break.

punkwax 05-23-2024 12:32 PM

People are questioning it though wondering why Tocchet would say publicly that Petey just needed to move his feet if he knew he had a knee injury.. personally I believe it considering the drop off in play but that does seem odd unless it was a 3D chess cover up.

bobbinka 05-23-2024 01:18 PM

tocch just wanted him to move his feet, not his knees /s

Gumby 05-23-2024 01:19 PM

Probably 3D chess cover up... look at how we targeted Draisaitl's back!

Harvey Specter 05-23-2024 01:26 PM

Hard to know what the truth is, but I doubt very much that he would lie about having a knee issue. He's already borne the brunt of the frustration from fans, so he could have easily said he struggled and needs to refocus next season.

Bottom line is he needs to get back to his game. There's not a chance in hell he can have another season like he had and think he's going to fly under the radar.

MarkyMark 05-23-2024 01:39 PM

Makes you wonder why he was playing at all after January if it was affecting his performance. A healthy Petey in the playoffs might have been the difference between advancing to the third round or not.

SkinnyPupp 05-23-2024 02:02 PM

Imagine he got injured at the fucking All Star game WutFace

Hondaracer 05-23-2024 02:23 PM

I think Toch just wanted him more engaged period.

At some point it’s on him to either sit out or find a way to contribute. Tochets message wasn’t really calling him out like we’ve seen in the last. And it did seem to light a bit of a fire under him, at least for that game

fsy82 05-23-2024 02:27 PM

Hronek was not happy with his questions at all. Its not coincidence we saw his slapper in Game 7 and not before that. Definitely playing injured. Boeser was also playing with a broken finger from round 1. Hughes said he wasnt injured but I call BS on that. The Nashville series took a toll on the boys

sonick 05-23-2024 02:44 PM

Boeser said his clot started due to a blocked shot and bruise in his leg. Started off as a small clot in the smaller vessels but got bigger and too risky.

-wish for a speedy recovery for Boeser. The guy has been through so much at a young age with his Dad getting dementia and passing because of cancer in 2022. FeelsBadMan

Hornek is a bitch and the way he was acting really makes me want the Canucks to trade him, he's not worth close to 8 mill a year.

bobbinka 05-23-2024 03:27 PM

lol
