Dallas coach wasn't as bad as the King's coach contesting that goal... the goal contesting moment sunk the entire playoffs for the Kings.

I keep hearing about this, but I didn't watch the series. Anyone have a clip on what happened?

About the Kings failed challenge?

Kings were leading 2 games to 0.

Game 3 in Edmonton, Edmonton scored the tying 4-4 goal in the 3rd period with just under 7 mins left.

The Kings coach challenged the goal, but lost. On the ensuing PP, Edmonton scored in 10 seconds to take the lead, enroute to a 4-2 series win.

Marchand resume looking better than Mcbaby’s? lol

Honestly watching last nights game someone as good as McDavid won’t go his career without winning a cup.. will it be this year though? Hehe

MarkyMark 06-07-2025 12:08 PM

This has to be his year, will they get another chance while he's still in his prime after this? It's possible but their team is set up to win right now, getting back to the finals year after year is difficult.

Hondaracer 06-07-2025 12:41 PM

He could just pull a borque etc. and sign with any contender and put them over the hump on a regular basis

bobbinka 06-07-2025 03:56 PM

yea, i think either this summer or next summer their team will look very different. They have 6 UFAs this year and Evan Bouchard is an RFA who will likely get a big pay raise. Next year, they'll have 10 UFAs including McDavid and both goalies.

SkinnyPupp 06-07-2025 05:36 PM

The best players don't always win the championship in the end, in a team sport. Sometimes they can move to a team that is 99% there, like Borque etc did

Edmonton is a good team except for goaltending. Florida is a good team with great goaltending. It's going to be tough!

Nugent-Hopkins is a game time decision for tonight's game:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...rn-for-oilers/

The biggest concern around the Edmonton Oilers on Monday morning was the availability of centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, the most versatile of the team's forwards, who was listed by head coach Kris Knoblauch as a “game-time decision” for Game 3.

“He'll take warm up, and we'll decide from there,” Knoblauch said.

Nugent-Hopkins is an integral part of the Oilers' power play, and alongside Adam Henrique, he starts every penalty kill. And perhaps most importantly, he can adeptly move from Connor McDavid’s left wing to centre the second line, affording Knoblauch his nuclear option of playing McDavid and Leon Draisaitl together when trailing later in a game.

whitev70r 06-09-2025 05:33 PM

Looks like the erratic sieve Skinner showed up tonight. Oilers playing catch up hockey all game.

westopher 06-09-2025 05:40 PM

Oilers as a team are horseshit since the puck dropped. Skinner has no chance.

SkinnyPupp 06-09-2025 05:52 PM

The last goal was the bad one for Skinner. They needed him to bail them out there but he let in the dagger

pastarocket 06-09-2025 06:36 PM

Coach Knoblauch needs to play Pickard for the rest of the series. Skinner is done. There is too much at stake now in the Finals with Florida winning tonight.

Nurse got dummied there. Some huge bombs they cut away from

westopher 06-09-2025 06:53 PM

Nope. Doesn't matter if skinner let in 2 goals or 20 goals. You don't fucking win with a goal.

Oilers also cannot let the Panthers goad them into taking penalties or get into the rough stuff after play is whistled dead. A waste of energy.

Panthers have plenty of agitators like turtle boy Tkachuk and of course Rat Face Marchand.

It’s been so many power plays for Florida tonight.

Wow, old man Perry is trying to rough up a Florida player at the end of the game haha. Save your energy, Corey!

Game 4 is a must win for the Coilers. They cannot let Panthers have another beat down in the next game.

Yep a lot of bad plays by the oilers in that sense. A couple bullshit calls against them too. This game was lost in the first 5 minutes

SkinnyPupp 06-09-2025 07:15 PM

Even though the loss wasn't Skinner's fault, he's done. You can't go back

Pickard isn't much better, but they were able to win with him too.

westopher 06-09-2025 07:17 PM

Skinner has done this 3 times this playoffs already. It's fine. Just get the team in front of him that had EASILY their worst game of the playoffs to do fucking anything next game and it won't be an issue.

68style 06-09-2025 07:17 PM

Agreed, that OT goal in Game 2 was fuckin atrocious and now 5 goals on 23 shots? You don't have time to fuck around in a 7 game series.

Oilers pulling a Canucks? lol

Florida is a better team, and with a goalie. Adding Marchand is just the cherry on top. The miracle of McJesus can only go so far, but it's still possible as long as they don't get blown out like they did tonight.

spoon.ek9 06-09-2025 08:32 PM

100% agree game 4 is an absolute must win for the oilers. They lose, I think series is over. Having only watched the highlights (as per usual), I can't even blame Skinner this game. The team was shit overall and it showed. That was an embarrassing loss and if the Panthers play like that again, they'll be unstoppable. Those power play goals were just wizardry. Ain't no goalie stopping those.

Actually, you can win with a goal or two and Skinner in net. Round 2 Oilers vs. Golden Knights .. Skinner pulled a 2 game shutout in game 4 and 5. You just have to have the lights out, playing out of his mind Skinner in net ... not the sieve.

Maybe!! I remember back in 2011, the games the Canucks won against the Bruins were hard fought, single-goal victories. But the ones they lost were pretty lopsided, including a 8-1 drubbing at the TD Garden…
