No same old 100-400. I coudlnt bring myself to buy a 2500 dollar lens just to shoot coyotes. It would make sense if i liked birds, but i hate birds.

I just got home and even with the very low light, i got some decent coyote shots. F9 isnt a huge problem at 800mm as long as your camera can handle it.

Even with my super lens @ 1280mm equivalent (800x1.6 for the apsc crop), this stupid thing was tiny and very very far away.

These clowns and their pathetic 600mm. what are you taking a shot of? ants? your f4 can eat a dick, no way you got the reach and even if you go into apsc mode, you wont have the megapixel to resolve the details.
